The Paradise Action Will Be on Another Level: Ram-Lakshman

‘The Paradise’ Action Will Be on Another Level: Ram-Lakshman

Natural Star Nani’s much-awaited an India period action entertainer ‘The Paradise’ is creating strong anticipation ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on September 24. Directed by Srikanth Odela and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner, the film promises a unique cinematic world backed by intense action and powerful performances.

The songs, glimpses and teaser released so far have received an encouraging response, further raising expectations on the film. Fight masters Ram-Lakshman, who choreographed key action sequences for the movie, recently shared several interesting details about the making of ‘The Paradise’.

Two Massive Action Blocks

Ram-Lakshman revealed that they worked alongside Navakanth and Real Satish on the film’s action choreography. The duo composed two major action blocks for ‘The Paradise’, which have been designed to match the film’s unusual setting, characters and body language.

According to them, the action in the film will be presented on a completely different scale. “Nani’s character is very new and has been designed in a unique way by director Srikanth Odela. The two braids are one of the most distinctive aspects of his look. We have rarely seen a hero with such a look on Indian screens,” they said.

Nani’s Biggest Action Challenge

The fight masters stated that Nani has taken on some of the most physically demanding action sequences of his career in ‘The Paradise’. They revealed that the film features significantly more action than ‘Dasara’.

“Nani is doing action on this scale for the first time. The action sequences are very heavy, and there is almost three times more action compared to ‘Dasara’,” Ram-Lakshman said.

Performing action sequences with two long braids was another major challenge. The braids could interfere with ropes and even hit the face during action scenes. To understand the difficulties involved, the team even made one of their assistants wear similar braids while working on the choreography.

Nani Put in 100 Percent Effort

The fight masters heaped praise on Nani for his dedication to the project. They said the actor went beyond expectations to bring the director’s vision to life.

“We feel Nani has never worked this hard for a film in his career. He gave 100 percent in every aspect and was ready to do as many takes as required. We honestly did not expect him to work this hard,” they said.

The film also features intense bare-body action sequences for Nani. Such scenes require rigorous physical preparation, including fitness training, bodybuilding and maintaining a strict diet.

They further praised director Srikanth Odela for his uncompromising approach. According to them, the director remained determined to achieve exactly what he had envisioned, while Nani gave his complete commitment to the character and the film’s demanding action requirements.

Ten Days of Action Shoot

Ram-Lakshman revealed that it took nearly ten days to complete their major action blocks. The action design required a completely different approach because the film features new characters, a distinctive world and unusual body language.

“The story itself demands action. There are situations where the characters have no option but to fight. Srikanth created those circumstances very effectively,” they explained.

A lot of time was spent developing the action choreography because the team wanted to establish a new body language and style. The sequences also involved considerable risks, and one of the unit members suffered an injury during the shoot.

Mohan Babu in a New Avatar

Speaking about senior actor Mohan Babu, the fight masters said audiences would see him in a fresh and different avatar in ‘The Paradise’. They also revealed that his character has action sequences, adding another interesting dimension to the film.

Competition Brings Out Creativity

When asked whether the arrival of new-generation fight masters creates a sense of competition, Ram-Lakshman said competition ultimately helps creativity.

“Competition encourages us to think differently and come up with something new. We continue to work with the same fear, honesty and concentration as if we are working on our first film,” they said.

A Completely New World

Ram-Lakshman also praised the technical team, particularly director Srikanth Odela and cinematographer Sai. They said the director has created a completely new world for ‘The Paradise’, while the cinematography brings that world to life in an impressive manner.

The film features unique locations and unusual equipment that complement its setting. They also praised Anirudh Ravichander’s music, which has already generated significant buzz.

The fight masters revealed that their son has also worked on ‘The Paradise’ and has a strong understanding of films across different languages.

Sudhakar Cherukuri’s Strong Support

Ram-Lakshman appreciated producer Sudhakar Cherukuri for backing the film on a grand scale without compromising on production values.

“Sudhakar garu spent generously on the film without compromising anywhere. He had complete faith in Nani and director Srikanth Odela. The combination of the producer, director and Nani has taken ‘The Paradise’ to a huge scale,” they said.

With a distinctive world, Nani’s never-before-seen character, intense action and a strong technical team, ‘The Paradise’ is gearing up to offer audiences a fresh cinematic experience when it arrives in theatres worldwide on September 24.
