“I Hope an Adventurous Travel Talk Show Like Soul Trip Becomes a Big Success”: Srikanth at Trailer Launch Event
Produced by Rizwan Entertainments and presented by P.U.N. Varma, the travel adventure talk show Soul Trip is being directed by Vijay Datla under the Gandabherunda Arts banner. The first season of the show is set to stream soon.
Designed as a unique travel-based conversational series, Soul Trip brings celebrated artistes closer to nature, engaging them in candid, soulful conversations amidst scenic locations. The first season features six episodes with guests including Jagapathi Babu, Srikanth, and comedian Ali. Recently, the makers hosted a grand trailer launch event, where several prominent personalities shared their thoughts.
Srikanth speaks:
“I absolutely love travelling. Whenever I find time, I go on trips with my family and friends. The concept of visiting a new place and adapting to its culture really appealed to me. For Soul Trip, we travelled to Goa and shot all the interviews there. Even when it rained at night, we continued shooting and truly enjoyed the process. The first season has six episodes, and I sincerely hope all of them become successful.”
Shyamala Devi shares:
“Soul Trip felt very natural to me. I really loved the trailer—Vijay has captured it beautifully. I’ve known Vijay and his family since his childhood, and it’s wonderful to see him come up with such a meaningful concept. Krishnam Raju garu was also very fond of travelling. I hope Soul Trip turns out to be a huge success.”
Ali says:
“The producers had immense faith in Vijay, and that trust led to the completion of six episodes. I wish he carries this same enthusiasm forward and makes 600 episodes. Vijay introduced us to local food and culture in every region we shot. From Goa to Kullu–Manali, he personally did recce and planned everything. The title design of Soul Trip is also fantastic. Vijay has already acted as a hero in three films and has now evolved into a writer-director. I wish him continued success.”
Vijay Datla explains:
“When we truly connect with nature, we learn so much—that’s the soul of this concept. But for something like this, you need producers and actors who believe in the idea. After sharing the concept with Thamada Media’s Karthik, Jagapathi Babu garu was the first to trust me. Within three days, he agreed to shoot, and we filmed at his favourite location, Maredumilli. Later, we shot episodes with Srikanth garu, Ali, Shivani, Shivathmika, Akash Puri, and Varsha Bollamma, completing Season One. I’m grateful to my team and producers for standing by me throughout this journey.”
Director Satish Vegesna comments:
