Eesha Offers a Complete Big-Screen Experience – Akhil Raj
After delivering cult successes like Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambayi, producers Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati are all set to entertain audiences with a gripping horror thriller titled Eesha. Produced under the banners of Vamsi Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vaas Works, the film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on December 25.
Directed by Srinivas Manne, Eesha stars Akhil Raj and Trigun in lead roles, with Hebah Patel as the female lead. Siri Hanmanthu, Babloo, and Prithviraj play pivotal roles. The film is presented by noted producer K. L. Damodar Prasad and produced by Hem Venkateswara Rao under the HVR Productions banner.
Speaking to the media, lead actor Akhil Raj shared his excitement and experiences working on the film.
On returning to screens with Eesha
“Though Eesha is releasing soon after Raju Weds Rambayi, I actually signed this film earlier. The release date was finalized unexpectedly. I was selected through auditions, and director Srinivas Manne believed I suited the role. I’m confident audiences will accept this film wholeheartedly,” Akhil Raj said.
First reaction to the script
“I was genuinely shocked when I first heard the story. It immediately pulled me in. Horror thriller lovers will find Eesha very different and engaging. The film has brilliant twists, striking visuals, and powerful sound design. It’s crafted purely for the big screen and offers a completely new theatrical experience.”
Expectations from the film
“Just like I was startled during the narration, I felt the same after watching the trailer. Bunny Vaas and Vamsi Nandipati delivered memorable films like Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambayi. I strongly believe Eesha will join that list. This film will definitely scare audiences,” he added with confidence.
About his character
“I play a character named Vinay, one of four childhood friends. Working with talented actors like Trigun, Hebah Patel, Siri, and Mime Madhu was a great experience. I learned a lot during this journey, especially from director Srinivas Manne.”

Preparation and approach
“I take complete responsibility for every film I do, and I have the same confidence in Eesha. I’m actively promoting it as well. If you work sincerely without expectations and the content is strong, success will follow on its own.”
Memorable shooting experience
“While shooting in Araku, I was bitten by an insect and suffered from fever for nearly a month. Apart from that, the shoot went smoothly without any major hurdles.”
On sound design and thrills
“The background score and sound design are terrifying. They are designed to genuinely scare people. Honestly, those with weak hearts might find it difficult to watch,” he said with a smile.
Choosing a horror film
“I want to establish myself as a versatile actor. Until now, many people associated me with the character Raju. Vinay is completely different. Horror films demand strong imagination and intense performance. Director Srinivas Manne noticed my work in the web series Sakhiya and felt I suited this role. I believe Eesha will give me new recognition.”
Impact of Raju Weds Rambayi
“That film changed my life completely. I will always be grateful to its team. It gave me an identity and recognition. It will forever remain a special project in my career.”
Fear of ghosts?
“I used to be scared as a child and avoided going out at night. But as I grew older, that fear gradually disappeared.”
On director Srinivas Manne
“He has great clarity and conviction about cinema. He is particularly strong in handling thrilling elements. I’m confident Eesha will impress audiences.”
Upcoming projects
“Four to five projects are currently in the discussion stage. I’m presently working on a film featuring Tarun Bhascker and Anupama, directed by Bhadri. This is my first project after Raju Weds Rambayi,” Akhil Raj revealed.
