The God of the Masses Nandamuri Balakrishna, blockbuster filmmaker Boyapati Sreenu, and star composer S. Thaman unveiled the first single – The Thaandavam from their highly anticipated divine action spectacle Akhanda 2: Thaandavam. The film is produced by Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta, and proudly presented by M. Tejaswini Nandamuri.
The promo of the first single received an overwhelming response. Today, the full song was launched in a grand event at PVR Mall, Juhu, Mumbai.
A Thunderous, Divine Musical Experience
Known for delivering electrifying soundtracks for Balakrishna, S. Thaman once again crafted a powerful, divine composition for Akhanda 2. The visuals of Balakrishna in a fierce Aghora avatar performing the Shiva Thaandavam in a massive temple courtyard created goosebumps. Every frame radiates divine intensity, elevated further by Thaman’s trademark percussion.
Shankar Mahadevan and Kailash Kher’s commanding vocals added a profound spiritual depth. Lyricist Kalyan Chakravarthy beautifully encapsulated the immense power of Lord Shiva in his words. This track stands out as one of the most impactful devotional songs of the year.
The film features Sanyuktha in a significant role, Aadhi Pinishetti in a powerful character, and Harshaali Malhotra in a key role. Cinematography is handled by C. Ramprasad and Santosh D Detake, editing by Tammiraju, and art direction by AS Prakash. Akhanda 2: Thaandavam is set for a worldwide release on December 5, 2025.

Speaking at the event, Nandamuri Balakrishna said:

Balakrishna shared that he is proud to carry forward his father’s legacy and serve people as Hindupur MLA and Chairman of Basavatarakam Cancer Hospital, which provides extensive free medical care.

Balakrishna emphasized that the power and glory of Sanatana Hindu Dharma will be seen in Akhanda 2.
“Live by dharma, speak the truth, never bow to injustice—this is Akhanda Thaandavam,” he said. Talking about his fourth collaboration with Boyapati Sreenu after Simha, Legend, and Akhanda, he called their partnership “a perfect wavelength.”
He praised Thaman for their successful combination across multiple films.
He appreciated Kailash Kher and Shankar Mahadevan for their soulful rendition of a song rooted in Sanatana Dharma.
Balakrishna asked parents to show the film to their children to explain the essence of Sanatana Dharma.
