Venkaiah Naidu Graces International Ink Bound 2.0
Hyderabad: The grand International Ink Bound 2.0 literary event, organised by Kasturi Vijaya Publishers, was held on Saturday evening at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. The event was conducted under the leadership of Kasturi Vijaya Publishers founder Pamarthi Sudheer Pamireddy.
Former Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu, noted writer and actor Tanikella Bharani, and former Rajya Sabha member Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad attended the event as chief guests.
During the ceremony, Venkaiah Naidu unveiled the Telugu, Hindi and English editions of Screenplay Master Sukumar, authored by Praveen Yajkshala and published by Kasturi Vijaya Publishers. He also launched noted writer Vanguri Chitten Raj’s book Ave Maina Jnapakala? Marchipovadaniki.
In addition, Ammamma Kathala Khajana, an anthology featuring 48 stories, was unveiled by the publishers along with the respective authors of the collection.
Speaking on the occasion, M. Venkaiah Naidu said that books are a treasure house of beautiful memories and appreciated Vanguri Chitten Raj for highlighting several aspects of Indian culture and traditions through his book.
He noted that the book reminds readers of traditional practices, including attire, customs and language, which are gradually being forgotten. He also observed that Indians living abroad often preserve and follow Indian traditions with greater enthusiasm, while some people in India are increasingly adopting Western cultural influences.
Congratulating the team behind Screenplay Master Sukumar, Venkaiah Naidu said that it was commendable to bring out a book on filmmaker Sukumar in three languages. He emphasised that cinema should offer not only entertainment but also knowledge and meaningful content.
“Humour and grammar bring glamour to cinema,” he remarked, encouraging filmmakers and other industry professionals to take greater initiative in creating films that combine entertainment with substance.
Actor and writer Tanikella Bharani appreciated the literary passion of Sudheer Pamireddy and his family. He said that it was encouraging to see the entire family actively involved in publishing books and promoting literature.
Speaking about Screenplay Master Sukumar, Bharani said that author Praveen Yajkshala had undertaken a comparative study of the story and screenplay of his film Naa Mithunam and brought out a book based on his research. He added that he would also read the book on director Sukumar and share his views after going through it.
The event brought together prominent personalities from literature, cinema and public life, celebrating the importance of books, storytelling and the preservation of cultural memories.
