Legendary Filmmaker M. S. Raju Unveils Ambitious Pan-India Divine Thriller Agadha

Legendary Filmmaker M. S. Raju Unveils Ambitious Pan-India Divine Thriller ‘Agadha’

Renowned filmmaker M. S. Raju, celebrated for delivering timeless Telugu blockbusters like Manasantha Nuvve, Okkadu, Varsham, and Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana, is now embarking on an exciting new journey with his latest venture, Agadha. Marking a bold creative shift, the film is conceived as a mystical divine thriller that blends mythology, suspense, and emotional depth.

Developed meticulously over the course of a year, Agadha reflects a focused and ambitious vision. The film is set for a grand multi-language release in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi, positioning itself as a true pan-India spectacle at a time when Telugu cinema continues to expand its national footprint.

The makers have taken a unique and engaging approach to promotions. The campaign began with a quirky, lighthearted video featuring two thieves who sneak into M. S. Raju’s office, only to get distracted by posters of his iconic past films. The tone, however, quickly transitions into intrigue when they stumble upon a mysterious new poster—later revealed to be Agadha—instantly shifting the mood into something darker and more spiritually intense.

The first-look poster amplifies this eerie tone. Set inside a dimly lit cavern illuminated by flickering torches, it showcases a powerful twelve-armed divine idol radiating an aura of mysticism and fear. In the foreground stands a lone girl, seen from behind, adding a layer of vulnerability and curiosity. Together, these elements create a haunting visual that hints at a story rooted in sacred mystery and unknown forces.

Shot over an extensive 85-day schedule across intricately designed sets and real-world locations, Agadha promises high production values. Nearly 45 minutes of VFX work further enhances the film’s scale and immersive storytelling.

Produced by Kasi Visalakshi Balusu under the banner Sri Adi Varaha Productions, the film boasts a strong technical team. Mikkin Arul Dev composes the music, while Nani Chamidishetty handles cinematography. Editing is managed by Junaid Siddiqui, with production design by Rajeev Nair. Chaitanya Vegi contributes to the additional screenplay.
