Nithiin’s ‘Alias Rukmini’ Locks December 4 Release
Murali Kanth Devasoth Directs the Unanimous Productions Venture; First Single to Be Released Soon
Following the blockbuster success of COURT – State Vs A Nobody, Natural Star Nani’s Unanimous Productions is gearing up to entertain audiences with another intriguing project, Alias Rukmini. Starring Nithiin in the lead role, the film is directed by Dhandoraa fame Murali Kanth Devasoth and produced by Deepthi Ganta. Promising a distinctive narrative blended with quirky humour and family-oriented entertainment, the film has already generated considerable curiosity.
The makers have officially announced December 4 as the worldwide theatrical release date. With just one more shooting schedule remaining, the team is simultaneously progressing with post-production work to ensure the film is ready for its planned release.
The release date poster offers an interesting glimpse into Nithiin’s character. Sporting a checked shirt, formal trousers and spectacles, the actor appears as an ordinary middle-class man carrying a shoulder bag. He stands amid a crowd at a court, with lawyers and police personnel in the background. His composed yet curious expression hints at a character caught in an unusual situation, while the silhouette of the female lead adds an element of mystery to the poster.
At the heart of Alias Rukmini is Krishna, a man who leads a quiet, ordinary life while navigating a world where certain truths are better left unspoken. However, the arrival of love sets off an unexpected chain of events, as a hidden secret threatens to turn his world upside down. Exploring love, concealed truths and society’s perceptions, the film promises an engaging narrative that questions the fine line between what society accepts and what it chooses to challenge.
The film has attracted attention for its unusual premise and the promising combination of talent behind it. The announcement glimpse, which offered a peek into the movie’s quirky humour and distinctive storytelling style, received an encouraging response, further building anticipation. Nithiin’s reportedly different characterisation is another major highlight, raising expectations for the actor’s performance.
With the theatrical release date now confirmed, the makers are preparing to intensify the promotional campaign. Musical promotions are set to begin soon with the release of the film’s first single, offering audiences another glimpse into the world of Alias Rukmini.
On the technical front, Jomon T. John ISC handles the cinematography, while Vijai Bulganin composes the music. Avinash Kolla oversees production design, and Srujana Adusumilli takes charge of editing.
With its intriguing premise, quirky humour and Nithiin in a distinctive role, Alias Rukmini is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on December 4.
