Jr. NTR & Trivikram Reunite for Ambitious Mythological Epic ‘Shanmukhudu’? Big Updates Emerge
The much-anticipated reunion of Jr. NTR and Trivikram Srinivas is once again creating a strong buzz across the film industry. After delivering the successful Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, the blockbuster duo is reportedly gearing up for a far more ambitious venture—this time in the mythological genre.
For quite some time, speculation has been rife about a high-concept project tentatively titled God of War. Initially, the film was said to be in consideration with both Allu Arjun and NTR at different stages. However, the latest industry developments strongly indicate that Jr. NTR has now been finalized to headline the project, while Allu Arjun has moved ahead with films directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Basil Joseph, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
Adding to the growing excitement, sources suggest that an official announcement could be made on May 20, marking Jr. NTR’s birthday—a date that is expected to be packed with major updates for fans. If everything falls into place, the film is likely to go on floors in December.
Interestingly, the title Shanmukhudu is currently under consideration and is said to have been registered by producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi. The emergence of this powerful and culturally rooted title has further fueled anticipation, hinting at a grand mythological narrative.
At present, both the actor and director are occupied with their respective commitments. Trivikram is busy working on a project with Venkatesh Daggubati, while NTR is deeply involved in his ongoing film Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. The Trivikram project is expected to commence only after the completion of Dragon.
Meanwhile, there is also significant movement regarding the sequel to Devara, with director Koratala Siva reportedly working on Devara 2. However, the timeline of this sequel largely depends on NTR’s packed schedule. If the Trivikram project begins as planned in December, Devara 2 might face delays. On the other hand, any postponement in the mythological film’s pre-production could open a window for NTR to complete the sequel first.
To add to the frenzy, fans can also expect a glimpse of Dragon on NTR’s birthday, making May 20 a crucial and exciting date with the potential for multiple high-profile announcements.
With several big-ticket films in the pipeline and key decisions pending, Jr. NTR’s upcoming slate is shaping up to be one of the most exciting and dynamic lineups in Indian cinema today.
