Naga Chaitanya’s Dhootha 2 Launched Grandly with Nagarjuna’s Clapboard
Yuva Samrat Naga Chaitanya made a remarkable digital debut with the supernatural thriller Dhootha, which premiered on Prime Video and emerged as a global success. The critically acclaimed series captivated audiences across multiple international markets, establishing itself as a worldwide phenomenon in the thriller genre.
The first season not only expanded Naga Chaitanya’s reach among digital audiences but also showcased a completely new dimension of his acting prowess. Taking his association with the franchise to the next level, the actor is now stepping into the role of producer for the much-anticipated sequel. Dhootha 2 is being jointly produced by Naga Chaitanya and Sharath Marar under the banners of Annapurna Studios and Northstar Entertainment Private Limited.
Acclaimed filmmaker Vikram K Kumar, whose gripping storytelling played a key role in the success of the first season, returns to direct the sequel. The project was officially launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony. King Nagarjuna Akkineni graced the occasion as the chief guest, giving the ceremonial clap and handing over the script to the team.
Following the blockbuster success of Thandel and while working on his upcoming project Vrushakarma, Naga Chaitanya has chosen Dhootha 2 as his next major venture. His decision to come on board as a producer further reflects his confidence in the story and the franchise’s potential.
For the second season, Vikram K Kumar has reportedly crafted an even more intense and intriguing narrative packed with mystery, psychological thrills, and supernatural elements. The makers promise a bigger, more immersive experience that surpasses the scale and excitement of the first season.
The series stars Parvathy Thiruvothu and Priya Bhavani Shankar in pivotal roles, adding further strength to the ensemble cast.
A highly talented technical team has been assembled for the project. V. Mukeshwaran, known for his work on the first season of Suzhal: The Vortex, handles cinematography, while Ishaan Chhabra composes the music. Pravallaya D serves as the Production Designer, and Anusha Punjala is in charge of costume design.
Mounted on a larger scale and with greater ambition than its predecessor, Dhootha 2 has already generated significant excitement among audiences. The makers are expected to announce additional cast members and technical crew details in the coming weeks.
