High Hopes for “Psych Siddharth” as Sri Nandu Makes Bold Statement
Young and talented actor Sri Nandu is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film “Psych Siddharth,” backed by Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media. Directed by Varun Reddy, the film is jointly produced by Spirit Media and Nandunes Keep Rolling Pictures, with Sri Nandu and Shyam Sundar Reddy Thudi as producers.
Designed as a youthful entertainer with Mad Max–style madness, Psych Siddharth promises high-energy action and impactful drama. Yamini Bhaskar plays the female lead, while Priyanka Rebecca Srinivas, Sakshi Athre, and Mounika appear in key roles. The teaser has already received superb response, and the film is set for a grand release on December 12. The makers unveiled the trailer today.
Sri Nandu’s Emotional Speech at the Trailer Launch
Speaking at the event, Sri Nandu said:
“Namaskaram to everyone… I’m very emotional today. This film is a journey of our entire team. Director Varun comes from an architecture background and has even won gold medals in it, but filmmaking has always been his passion. He studied at Annapurna and is now making his debut at Ramanaidu Studios.
I’ve always been interested in writing and direction. I’ve directed a few music videos, and even had a directorial project approved at the Brochevarevarura banner. That’s when I met Varun as a writer. Though that project did not materialize, we built a strong bond of trust. He initially shot Psych Siddharth like a demo, and an OTT platform even offered to buy it. But I felt this film deserved a bigger scale and wider reach. That’s when we decided to produce it ourselves. Varun has lived up to every bit of the trust I placed in him.”
“This Will Resonate with Today’s Youth”
“We kept the tagline ‘A story about a youngster like you’ because it truly reflects today’s youth and society. Legendary filmmaker Raghavendra Rao garu, director Sai Rajesh garu, and Anudeep have watched the film and appreciated it a lot. Suresh Babu garu watched it and immediately came on board, which is a huge moment for me. As a producer, I’m already in profit, and even Suresh Babu garu is very happy. This is a table-profit film.
I played the second lead in Pelli Choopulu, and at the time I wished that one day, Suresh Productions would take up one of my films. Today that dream has come true.
It’s been 18 years in the industry. I’ve given my best in every role. I’ve never received negative comments about my acting. Even RCB took 18 years to win their first title—my 18-year journey ends here. Now I’m fully confident: this time, success is ours.
If the audience does not like the film, I’ll hold a press meet and personally apologize. I’m not saying this out of ego, but with complete humility. Even if I fail, I’ll be right here, continuing to make films until I win. Please give this film one chance. Come to the theatres and watch it.”
“I Lost 18 Kilos for the Role”
“For this character, I lost 18 kilos and worked extremely hard to look the part. While there is no Arjun Reddy influence on the character, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s filmmaking style has inspired us. We tried a very new grammar in editing and storytelling.
From the very beginning, we felt Rana garu would like this content and wanted to show it to him. Today, that has come true. Even the censor board members loved the film and spoke highly of it. This movie will be a golden milestone in my career. You’ve all witnessed my journey… I believe on December 12, after watching the film, you will hug me emotionally.”
Director Varun Reddy Speaks
“Thank you for the amazing response to the trailer. The output is extraordinary only because of Nandu’s intensity and hard work. After Pelli Choopulu and Care of Kancharapalem, this is the next film Suresh garu bought completely. He watched it at night and immediately asked to meet us the next morning. In the past ten years, this is the fastest decision he has taken. With such a high-energy team, the film naturally carries great momentum. I truly hope you all support us and make this film a success.”
Heroine Yamini Bhaskar Shares Her Experience
“After a long gap, one of my films is releasing, and I’m truly excited. The media and audience have always been very supportive of me. The film has turned out wonderfully, and I’m sure you’ll all love it. Director Varun has written this story with great sensitivity and designed two beautiful characters. Psych Siddharth arrives on December 12—please watch it and support us.”
