Icon Star Allu Arjun Crowned Best Actor; Pushpa 2: The Rule Shines as Best Film
The prestigious Gulf Academy Movie Awards (GAMA) once again celebrated the excellence of Telugu cinema with unmatched grandeur. Following four highly successful editions, the 5th edition of GAMA Awards 2025, presented by Vaibhav Jewellers and powered by KEinfra Properties, was held on August 30th at the Sharjah Expo Centre, Dubai.
The evening glittered with the presence of prominent filmmakers, celebrated actors, and renowned technicians from Tollywood. Under the leadership of GAMA Awards Chairman Kesari Trimurtulu and CEO Saurabh Kesari, the event stood out as a memorable showcase of cinematic brilliance, blending glamour with prestige.
The distinguished jury, chaired by veteran filmmaker A. Kodandarami Reddy, legendary music composer Koti, and acclaimed director B. Gopal, honored the finest talents of the Telugu film industry across multiple categories.
Among the biggest highlights of the night, Icon Star Allu Arjun bagged the award for Best Actor (2024) for his remarkable performance in Pushpa 2: The Rule, while the film itself, produced by Mythri Movie Makers, was crowned Best Movie. The film’s director Sukumar and composer Devi Sri Prasad also walked away with top honors, further cementing Pushpa 2’s dominance.
