‘Court’ Premieres Receive Unanimously Excellent Response – Producers Prashanthi Tipirneni & Deepti Ganta Thank the Audience for Making It a Big Hit
The film Court – State vs. A Nobody, presented by Natural Star Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema, has received an overwhelmingly positive response from its premieres. Starring Priyadarshi in the lead role, the film is directed by Ram Jagadeesh and produced by Prashanthi Tipirneni, with Deepti Ganta as the co-producer.
The previously released trailer and the song “Premalo” have already garnered immense appreciation from audiences. Now, with the tremendous response to the premieres, expectations for the film have skyrocketed. Court is set to release worldwide on March 14.
In this context, producers Prashanthi Tipirneni and Deepti Ganta shared insights about the film at a press meet.
Deepti, how did the journey of Court begin?
- Nani and Prashanthi listened to the script and approved it. I joined as an on-set producer. I was present on the sets every day. Nani and Prashanthi gave me a lot of creative freedom.
How did you feel after hearing the script?
- I read the entire script. Director Jagadeesh wrote it exceptionally well. It has multiple layers, and he connected everything beautifully. The screenplay is very tight. I really liked the story.
Prashanthi, how does the process of selecting a story for Wall Poster Cinema work?
- Nani and I listen to the stories together. However, I rely on Nani’s judgment completely. He doesn’t overanalyze things. If he feels a story is engaging enough to be watched in a theater, he approves it.
Prashanthi, how has the response to the premieres been?
-
The premieres received an unanimously excellent response. After the first half, people were saying “Wow!” and eagerly waiting for the second half. The highlights in the second half were also well-received. The response has been fantastic—beyond our expectations. It’s heartening to see audiences embracing a film of this genre and making it a big success. We are truly enjoying this success.

Some lawyers also attended the premieres, and they loved the film. They mentioned that they had never seen a courtroom drama presented so naturally before, which was a great compliment for us.
Deepti, what aspects of the film did you personally like the most?
- There are many. A particular scene featuring Rohini’s character stood out to me. Also, Shivaji sir did a phenomenal job in the role of Mangapathi. Every household has a character like his.
What can you say about director Jagadeesh?
- Director Jagadeesh did extensive research for this film, which is why it feels so natural. He presented the POCSO Act (Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses) in great detail.
The stakes for HIT 3 are very high, but Nani said that if Court didn’t turn out well, people shouldn’t watch HIT 3. How did that feel?
- We were shocked! Prashanthi, director Sailesh, and I looked at each other and laughed. But he was confident in his statement, which shows his faith in the film.
Which aspect of the film had the highest expenditure?
- We didn’t spend much on sets, but we ensured that we got the best actors for the story. We didn’t compromise on casting. Along with Priyadarshi, we have Rohini, Sai Kumar, Shivaji, Harsha Vardhan, and others—such fantastic actors. Roshan and Sridevi also fit their roles perfectly.
Prashanthi, how do you select stories?
- Regardless of the genre, the story must have honesty. If the story has integrity and the director has clarity, we move forward with it. This is what Nani also looks for.
Deepti, when will we see a film directed by you?
- After Meet Cute, I went to the U.S. I returned for this film. I have some ideas, but I need to develop them into proper scripts first.Read Also: Thandel Movie Review: A Gripping Tale with Strong Performances but Uneven Execution
