Young Social Activist, Tejam Chinnari Kalash, Receives Honorary Doctorate

Tejam Chinnari Kalash, a young luminary from Telugu, has been awarded an honorary doctorate and recognized as the world’s youngest social worker for her outstanding contributions and philanthropic endeavors.

Born on August 13, 2013, Tejam Chinnari Kalash, also known as Kalasha Naidu, displayed a compassionate spirit from an early age. Witnessing the struggles of children around her, she embarked on a mission to provide aid and support, offering essential items like plates, milk, chocolates, and toys to those in need.

Encouraged by her parents, who supported her altruistic endeavors, Kalasha Naidu founded the Kalash Foundation, dedicated to addressing the needs of the underprivileged and promoting social welfare. Through initiatives like ‘Akshara Kalash’ that promote education, ‘Marvelous Women’ awards honoring women achievers, and ‘Green Run’ campaigns for environmental awareness, her foundation has made a significant impact.

Beyond national borders, Chinnari Kalash’s efforts have gained international recognition, earning awards and accolades from various countries. Recently, she was honored with an honorary doctorate by the United Nations Global Peace Council for her exceptional service in social welfare.

In a special event held at the Parliament building in London, Chinnari Kalash Naidu was hailed as the world’s youngest social worker. Her achievements were celebrated in the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Indian High Commissioner in Great Britain and members of the British Parliament.

Prime Minister Shri Rishi Sunak conveyed his admiration for Kalasha Naidu’s dedication and commitment, expressing regret for missing the event due to parliamentary obligations. He extended a personal invitation for a high-tea meeting and a visit to the prestigious London Parliament to honor her outstanding achievements.
