Sree Vishnu’s ‘Comrade Kalyan’ Locks October 9 Release
King of Entertainment Sree Vishnu is all set to explore a distinctive new world with his upcoming film ‘Comrade Kalyan’, an action entertainer that blends a period backdrop with romance, emotion, humour and high-intensity action. Directed by Janakiram Marella and presented by Kona Venkat, the film is produced by Venkata Krishna Karnati and Seetha Karnati under the banner of Skanda Vahana Motion Pictures LLP.
Set against the Andhra-Odisha border in 1992, ‘Comrade Kalyan’ has already generated interest with its intriguing title glimpse and the first two singles. The makers have now unveiled a major update, announcing the film’s worldwide theatrical release.
‘Comrade Kalyan’ will hit worldwide screens on October 9, 2026, arriving just ahead of the Dussehra festive season. The release date poster offers another glimpse into the film’s unique setting and tone.
Sree Vishnu is seen in a striking comrade avatar, dressed in dark green and sporting a red scarf. Carrying a rifle over his shoulder, he walks through a dense forest, reflecting the revolutionary backdrop of the story. Actors Satya and Mukku Avinash are also featured alongside him as fellow comrades.
While the rifles and rugged setting establish a serious and intense atmosphere, the cheerful expressions of the characters hint at the film’s entertaining side. The poster suggests that ‘Comrade Kalyan’ will offer a balanced mix of action, comedy and emotional moments, making it an engaging festive-season entertainer.
The film features a strong ensemble cast, with Mahima Nambiar playing the female lead. Radhika Sarathkumar, Shine Tom Chacko and Upendra Limaye are also part of the important cast.
