Peddi Will Make the Industry Proud: Ram Charan
Mega Power Star Ram Charan’s highly anticipated action drama Peddi has been creating tremendous buzz across the country. The film has already captivated audiences with its spectacular glimpse, chartbuster songs, and a powerful theatrical trailer. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings presenting, Peddi is all set for a grand worldwide release on June 4, with special premieres scheduled for June 3.
Ahead of the release, the team held a grand press meet in Chennai, where the cast and crew shared their excitement about the film.
Ram Charan: “Peddi Is a Film the Industry Will Be Proud Of”
Addressing the media, Ram Charan said, “Greetings to the Chennai media. I have visited Chennai several times for the promotions of Magadheera and RRR. Every time I come here, it feels like returning home. We all worked tirelessly on Peddi for nearly two and a half years. I personally spent 285 days shooting for this film, while director Buchi Babu dedicated almost five years of his life to it.”
Praising the team, Charan added, “The biggest pillar of this film is A.R. Rahman sir. Working with a legend like him has been a wonderful experience. Watching Shivanna sir on screen is like witnessing fire. I thoroughly enjoyed his performance in Jailer—it was iconic. His eyes alone convey countless emotions.”
Speaking about cinematographer Rathnavelu, he said, “I have worked with him on four films, and every frame he captures is extraordinary. He is one of the film’s biggest assets.”
Charan also appreciated co-star Divyenndu, saying, “Though Divyenndu and I are of similar height in real life, our body language and attitude in the film make us look larger than life. Janhvi Kapoor has brought immense beauty and grace to this project.”
Thanking producer Satish Kilaru, Charan remarked, “This is not a film made through hardship—it was made with love and passion. While working on Magadheera, Rangasthalam, and RRR, I had a feeling they would become huge successes. I have the same feeling about Peddi. It is an inspiring film and one that I will cherish for the rest of my life. My heartfelt thanks to Buchi Babu and Sukumar garu. Peddi will make the entire industry proud. It is a beautiful entertainer with a meaningful message.”
He concluded by extending his wishes to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay and the people of Tamil Nadu, adding that he feels proud to see a film personality rise to such heights.
