Nara Lokesh Gives First Clap, Tejaswini Directs Inaugural Shot as Nandamuri Balakrishna-Koratala Siva’s Prestigious #NBK112 is Launched Grandly in Amaravati
The highly anticipated collaboration between God of Masses Nandamuri Balakrishna and blockbuster filmmaker Koratala Siva has officially commenced with a grand launch ceremony in Amaravati. Produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri and Sudhakar Mikkilineni under the prestigious banners of SLV Cinemas and Yuvasudha Arts, the film, tentatively titled #NBK112, was launched amidst much fanfare with traditional pooja rituals and the presence of several distinguished guests.
The grand event witnessed Andhra Pradesh Ministers Nara Lokesh and Kandula Durgesh attending as chief guests. Renowned film personalities Suresh Babu, Gopichand Malineni, Venkata Satish Kilaru, and Sahu Garapati also graced the occasion and ceremoniously handed over the script to the makers.
In a memorable moment, Kandula Durgesh switched on the camera, while Nara Lokesh sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham shot. Adding an emotional touch to the event, Balakrishna’s daughter Nandamuri Tejaswini directed the inaugural shot, making the launch even more special.
Speaking at the ceremony, Nara Lokesh expressed his gratitude to Balakrishna for inviting him to be part of the prestigious occasion. He emphasized the Andhra Pradesh government’s commitment to transforming Amaravati into a major hub for cinema and the creator economy.
“Under the visionary leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, we are working towards building world-class infrastructure, advanced film studios, and cutting-edge technological facilities in Amaravati. Our aim is to create a sustainable ecosystem that encourages filmmakers, content creators, and artists. This launch is not just about one film; it marks the beginning of a larger vision. Amaravati is a sacred land, and I hope many more films will start their journey from here in the years to come,” said Lokesh.
Director Koratala Siva thanked Ministers Nara Lokesh and Kandula Durgesh for attending the event and shared his excitement about collaborating with Balakrishna for the first time.
“Before becoming a writer-director, I had the privilege of working as an assistant writer and assistant director on films featuring Balakrishna garu. I’ve always admired him immensely. Directing him now is truly a blessing. I understand the expectations surrounding this combination, and I assure fans that we are working on a film that will be a memorable cinematic experience for Balakrishna fans and audiences everywhere,” Koratala stated.
Addressing the gathering, Balakrishna thanked the ministers, guests, and his daughter Tejaswini for making the event memorable.
“I am fortunate to receive the love and affection of millions of fans. My heartfelt thanks to Nara Lokesh garu and Kandula Durgesh garu for joining us today, and special thanks to Tejaswini for directing the inaugural shot. She has earlier contributed creatively to my show Unstoppable, and I’m delighted to have her be part of this special moment.”
Balakrishna also highlighted the significance of hosting such a grand launch in Andhra Pradesh.
“It has been nearly two decades since a film launch of this scale was held in Andhra Pradesh. This project is particularly special because it marks my first collaboration with both Koratala Siva and the producers. With the encouragement of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, and many others, we are committed to contributing to the growth of the film industry in the state.”
The actor further emphasized Andhra Pradesh’s vast potential as a filmmaking destination.
“Vijayawada can emerge as a major film hub. Andhra Pradesh offers exceptional shooting locations, and with the right incentives and infrastructure, it can attract large-scale productions. Alongside cinema, we envision the growth of tourism, amusement parks, and entertainment ecosystems. This is the land of legendary icons NTR and ANR, and we believe the industry should flourish here as well.”
Balakrishna revealed that significant portions of both his ongoing film with Gopichand Malineni and #NBK112 will be shot across Andhra Pradesh, reinforcing the team’s commitment to promoting the state as a premier filmmaking destination.
The film marks the first-ever collaboration between Balakrishna and Koratala Siva, a combination that has already sparked immense excitement among fans and trade circles. Known for delivering socially relevant commercial entertainers, Koratala has reportedly crafted a powerful story that blends mass appeal, intense emotions, and high-voltage action, tailor-made for Balakrishna’s larger-than-life screen presence.
With a celebrated star, an acclaimed filmmaker, and a prestigious production team coming together, #NBK112 has all the ingredients to become one of the most eagerly awaited Telugu films in the coming years.
