My Role in BRO Was Tweaked To Make It Signification, says Ketika Sharma
Pawan Kalyan and Sai Dharam Tej’s film ‘BRO’ is going to hit the screens on July 28 worldwide. Ketika Sharma played the role of Sai Dharam’s girlfriend as a female lead in the film. Priya Prakash Varrier also shares screen with Ketika and Tej in the film. Ahead of the film’s release Ketika spoke about her role and the film in an interview. Excerpts here:
What is your role in the film?
The role I played in the remake doesn’t have much significance in the original. In the Telugu version, my role was made an important one. I play Mark’s (Sai Dharam Tej) girlfriend. My role is totally performance oriented and everyone role in the film is purposeful.
How did you get the opportunity?
When the makers approached me, I was told Pawan Kalyan will be playing a key role in the film. I was surprised and readily okayed it. However, I do not share screen with him in the film. During the shooting locations, I met him one fine day as Tej introduced me to him. BRO came my way when I was shooting for ‘Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga’.
How was your experience working with Samuthirakani?
BRO has got a tight script filled with humour. My introduction scene with Tej is so humourous. One will fell the Trivikram mark writing in it. Director Samuthirakani is a fast-paced director. He expects the same from the artists. As this is a remake, he used to come to sets very well-prepared and it was fun shooting with him.
How was working for People Media Factory?
People Media Factory takes good care of every artiste. It was very comfortable shooting for the film, thanks to producer TG Vishwa Prasad who ensures every artiste feels comfortable.
What are your next projects?
I have signed a project with Aha Video. It will be announced soon. However, it is an OTT project. I have also signed a Hindi project. Going forward, I want to do a biopic.
