“HIT 3 will provide a great theatrical experience and emotional depth in the story,” said Natural Star Nani
Natural Star Nani is all set to appear in his most intense and violent avatar in his upcoming film HIT: The 3rd Case. The film’s glimpses, teaser, songs, and other promotional content have created a tremendous buzz. Directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu, the film is produced by Prashanthi Tipirneni under the Wall Poster Cinema banner in association with Nani’s own production house, Nani Unanimous Productions. The movie is slated for release in theatres on May 1st.
The theatrical trailer of HIT: The 3rd Case was launched today at the Sangam Theatre in Vizag amidst a massive crowd of fans. Later, a press meet was held in Hyderabad.
Nani said:
“Greetings to everyone. We launched the trailer in Vizag this morning. Since its release, my phone has been flooded with messages. The response has been overwhelming and truly heartwarming. Our team has worked very hard over the past few days. These days, trailers are released at the last minute, but earlier they used to come out 20 days before release. We wanted to bring back that nostalgic feeling, so we released the trailer early. The whole team worked day and night for this trailer. The positive response today is all thanks to Sailesh and his team. A big thank you to all of them.”
Director Sailesh Kolanu said:
“Thank you to all the media friends. You’ve seen the trailer — we created it in a unique way. I want to thank my entire team who worked with me on this project.”
DOP Sanu John Varughese said:
“This is my fourth film in Telugu, and all four have been with Nani. This film too will entertain. Nani appears in a very different character this time. It was a great experience working on this.”
Production Designer Sri Nagendra said:
“This is my first movie with Nani. I believe it will be one of the best films of my career. We’ve paid a lot of attention to technical details and worked day and night to deliver quality on the big screen. The film releases on May 1st — I hope everyone watches it in theatres.”
Why was the trailer released so early, Nani? Was it to prepare the audience?
“The teaser already prepared the audience for the kind of movie this is. Releasing the trailer early was to increase the excitement and show how strong the content is. This is a movie that gives a great theatrical experience.”
The violence in the film feels intense — why does it feel so impactful?
“Violence works when there is strong emotion behind it. When you see violence in this film, it gives you goosebumps — because of the emotion in those scenes. The action design is very fresh and new.”
Why did you use Chaganti garu’s (renowned spiritual speaker) discourse in such a violent film?
“There’s a very important connection in the story. Sailesh explained the idea to Chaganti garu, and he liked it. He recorded the discourse specifically for the movie.”
What kind of work did Sailesh put into the action sequences this time?
“Action choreography plays a crucial role in this film. It was designed brilliantly by Lee. On screen, it looks very unique. This is a film in a completely different zone.”
Nani, what impact will such a violent film have on the audience?
“There are countries that make films ten times more violent than us, yet their crime rates are lower. What matters is our mindset. A film is a responsibility. You’ll see how responsibly we made it once you watch it.”
You once said, “If you didn’t like ‘Court’ (a movie), don’t watch HIT 3.” So what would you say about HIT 3?
“I could say that because I’m the producer of HIT 3. (laughs) For those who enjoy racy thrillers and action-packed movies, May 1st will be a full meal. It offers a brand-new theatrical experience. And if you don’t agree with me, don’t trust Nani next time! (laughs)”
What aspect of this film personally connected with you, Nani?
“When I first heard the story, it felt like a completely new experience. Sailesh has dealt with it very differently. Even I found many things in it new. We put in a lot of effort — and you’ll see it on the screen.”
Sailesh, was there any real-life inspiration behind Arjun’s character?
“It’s a larger-than-life character. It was created purely as a fictional one.”
Is there a message in the film?
“Yes, there is. The film shows how far a person can go when standing up for dharma (righteousness). It’s a very different film — one that offers a unique experience.”
