National award-winning actor Dhanush’s much-awaited 50th film, Raayan, has cleared censorship with an A certificate. The film marks Dhanush’s second directorial venture and is produced by the prestigious Sun Pictures banner.
Raayan boasts a runtime of approximately two hours and twenty-five minutes, promising a fast-paced experience. The film will see Dhanush in an action-oriented role, a departure from his usual characters. With an A certificate, audiences can expect a story with mature themes and potentially graphic violence.
The makers are gearing up for an aggressive promotional campaign ahead of the film’s release on July 26th. Raayan also features actors Sundeep Kishan and Kalidas Jayaram in pivotal roles. Aparna Balamurugan, SJ Surya, Selvaraghavan, and Dhushara Vijayan round out the supporting cast.
A.R. Rahman, the Oscar-winning composer
A.R. Rahman, the Oscar-winning composer, has provided the music for Raayan. The first two songs from the soundtrack have already become chartbusters, raising anticipation for the film’s score. Om Prakash handled cinematography, while Prasanna GK takes care of editing. Jacki is credited as the production designer, and Peter Hein choreographed the action sequences.
The Telugu version of Raayan will be released by Asian Suresh Entertainment LLP. With its high production values, A-list cast, and action-packed story, Raayan is poised to be a major summer blockbuster.
