Sampath Nandi Announces Shanarthi With Akhil Raj & Naga Durga
Sampath Nandi Teamworks, Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions join hands for a culturally rooted entertainer
Successful filmmaker and producer Sampath Nandi’s Sampath Nandi Teamworks is gearing up for its second production venture in association with passionate producer KV Sridhar Reddy under Sri Dhanalakshmi Productions. Presented by the prestigious Aditya Movies, the upcoming film brings together a promising young team and has been titled Shanarthi.
Starring Akhil Raj, who won appreciation for his performance in Raju Weds Rambai, as the male lead, the film features talented actress Naga Durga as the female lead. Popular for her energetic presence in several Telangana folk songs, Naga Durga is making her acting debut with Shanarthi. The actress has already signed a few interesting projects, making her big-screen debut one to watch out for.
The film marks the directorial debut of Raj Ganesh Uppunooti, a protégé of Sampath Nandi. With an experienced filmmaker backing a first-time director, Shanarthi has generated curiosity among Telugu cinema enthusiasts.
Shanarthi: A Title Rooted In Telangana Culture
The makers have chosen the intriguing title Shanarthi, a traditional Telangana term used as a form of greeting. The title itself reflects the film’s strong cultural connection and regional flavour.
The recently unveiled title poster makes a striking impression with a visually symbolic design. It features two hands holding each other, with one hand covered in turmeric yellow and the other painted in vibrant red. The contrasting colours beautifully represent connection, tradition and togetherness.
The cultural detailing adds further depth to the poster. Sacred threads tied around the wrists and traditional red bangles on the red hand, along with the turmeric- and vermilion-inspired colour palette, evoke the rich traditions, rituals and festive atmosphere associated with Telangana.
The tagline “A Tale of Culture” further hints at the film’s central theme and suggests that the story will explore the emotional and cultural roots of its characters and setting.
Strong Technical Team
Sampath Nandi, who has established himself as a successful filmmaker, writer, storyteller and showrunner, has been associated with several popular films and franchises, including the Odela franchise. His involvement with Shanarthi has naturally added to the expectations surrounding the project.
The film also has an exciting musical component, with talented composer Suresh Bobbili on board. Known for his distinctive musical sensibilities, Suresh Bobbili is expected to bring a strong regional flavour to the soundtrack while complementing the film’s emotional and narrative elements.
Grand Launch At Rama Naidu Studios
Shanarthi was officially launched today at Rama Naidu Studios in Hyderabad, in the presence of prominent film personalities, the producers, director and the core team.
