Mahakali Enters Final Schedule After 125 Days of Shoot
Mahakali, the next grand chapter in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), has entered its final shooting schedule after successfully completing an extensive 125-day filming journey. Backed by producers RK Duggal and Riwaz Ramesh Duggal under the RKD Studios banner, the ambitious mythological spectacle is created by Prasanth Varma and directed by Puja Kolluru.
Mounted on a massive scale, Mahakali is being specially crafted for the IMAX format, promising an unparalleled cinematic experience with breathtaking visuals, larger-than-life action, and immersive storytelling that will elevate Indian mythological cinema to a new level.
Marking a major production milestone, Rohit Saraf has officially wrapped up filming for his role in the film. Earlier, veteran actor Akshaye Khanna completed shooting for his powerful portrayal of Shukracharya, one of the most significant characters in the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe. With the completion of their schedules, the production is now focused on wrapping up the remaining portions in its final phase.
Leading the film is Bhoomi Shetty, who essays the titular role of Mahakali. Her first-look poster, revealing the goddess in a fierce and divine avatar, received an overwhelming response from audiences across the country. Similarly, Akshaye Khanna’s intense first look as Shukracharya generated tremendous excitement, further boosting expectations for the film and its place within the expanding PVCU.
The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring acclaimed actors from multiple film industries, making Mahakali one of the most ambitious pan-Indian mythological productions currently in the making.
