Allu Arjun Skips Personal Appearance in Sandhya Theatre Case Hearing
Actor Allu Arjun did not appear in person before the Nampally Court in Hyderabad on Monday in connection with the ongoing Sandhya Theatre stampede case. The actor reportedly sought exemption from personal appearance, citing his busy film shooting commitments.
The case relates to the tragic stampede that occurred during the premiere screening of Pushpa 2: The Rule at Sandhya Theatre in December 2024. The incident led to the death of a woman and left her minor son seriously injured, triggering widespread concern over crowd management and security arrangements at the venue.
Following a detailed investigation, the Chikkadpally police filed a comprehensive charge sheet naming 23 individuals as accused in the case. According to the charge sheet, the management and partners of Sandhya Theatre have been listed as Accused Nos. 1 to 10 (A1–A10), while Allu Arjun has been named as Accused No. 11 (A11).
The court recently issued summons to 19 primary accused as part of the formal trial process. While several accused appeared before the court, Allu Arjun’s legal team submitted a request seeking exemption from personal attendance, stating that the actor was occupied with ongoing film commitments.
The Sandhya Theatre case continues to draw significant public and media attention as legal proceedings move forward, with authorities focusing on accountability for the security and crowd-control lapses that allegedly contributed to the tragic incident.
