Sai Pragathi Films Launched Vedavyas Nears Release
Every new production house entering the film industry places special emphasis on designing its banner identity. Producers usually strive to create a visually appealing and artistic logo and title for their banner. It is also a common tradition to seek divine blessings before the official announcement—by placing the logo before a deity and performing पूजा (rituals) with devotion.
In line with this tradition, the banner launch of the film “Vedavyas”, directed by veteran filmmaker S.V. Krishna Reddy and presented by K. Achchi Reddy, was held ceremoniously at the Sai Baba Temple in Film Nagar. The film is being produced by debut producer Kommoori Pratap Reddy.
Former MLA, businessman, and head of KPR IT Educational Institutions, Kommoori Pratap Reddy has named his banner “Sai Pragathi Films.” He, along with director S.V. Krishna Reddy and presenter Achchi Reddy, visited the temple in traditional attire and performed special पूजा rituals before unveiling the banner. Photos of the trio in traditional dress at the temple, seeking blessings from their presiding deity Sai Baba, are currently going viral on Facebook and WhatsApp groups.
The film “Vedavyas”, which highlights the richness of Hindu philosophy with a scientific perspective and a strong family-oriented narrative, is currently in its final stages of production.
The movie introduces Pidugu Viswanath as the lead hero. Notably, it also marks the Telugu debut of Korean actress June Hyunji and Mongolian actor Sharan Bold. The film features a strong ensemble cast including Sai Kumar, Suman, Babu Mohan, Shivaji Raja, Ali, Uttej, Raghu Babu, Ajay Ghosh, IMAX Venkat, Vidyullekha Raman, and Rajeshwari Nair in key roles.
S.V. Krishna Reddy is handling multiple major responsibilities for the film, including story, screenplay, dialogues, music, and direction. The lyrics are penned by Bhuvanachandra and Venigalla Rambabu. Cinematography is by Sharath, choreography by Suchitra, editing by Chota K. Prasad, and production design by Brahma Kadali. Phani Srinivasa Reddy Medapati serves as the executive producer.
With post-production work set to be completed soon, “Vedavyas” is gearing up for its release shortly. The film is presented by K. Achchi Reddy and produced by Kommoori Pratap Reddy.
