Therachaapa Set for April 17 Release; Grand Pre-Release Event Held

The much-anticipated film “Therachaapa”, produced by Kailash Durgam under the Ananya Creations banner and directed by Joel George, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on April 17. Featuring Naveen Raj Sankarapu, Pooja Suhasini, and Sreelu in the lead roles, the film boasts a strong supporting cast including Rajeev Kanakala, Prithviraj, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Fish Venkat, Jabardasth Ashok, Nagi, Apparao, Rising Raju, Rajesh Bhupathi, Naga Vamsi, Srinivas Nesa, Chandra, and many others in key roles.

With captivating cinematography by Azeem and Venkat, music composed by Prajal Krish, and a powerful background score by M.L. Raja, “Therachaapa” has already generated significant buzz. The film’s songs, teaser, and trailer have received an overwhelming response, raising expectations among audiences. Editing is handled by Raju Bodasingi, while choreography is by Jeevan George.

In the run-up to its release, the team hosted a grand pre-release event attended by the cast, crew, and several prominent guests from the film industry.

Speaking at the event, Rajeev Kanakala praised producer Kailash Durgam for his unwavering dedication and belief in the project. He also highlighted the challenges faced during filming, particularly shooting barefoot on the scorching beach, and commended Naveen Raj for his deep emotional commitment, noting that the actor has dedicated the film to his father.

Actor Prithviraj shared that although he has acted in numerous films, “Therachaapa” holds a special place in his heart for its realistic portrayal of fishermen’s lives. He also expressed his joy in sharing screen space with his daughter, Sreelu.

Naga Mahesh revealed that his character in the film is unique and showcases him in a completely new light, while Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari (of Pushpa fame) spoke about his strong bond with Naveen Raj and appreciated the collective effort of the team.

An emotional Kailash Durgam thanked his family for their constant support, stating that the film was driven by his passion for cinema and belief in the story. Director Joel George expressed gratitude to the cast, crew, media, and audience, acknowledging the immense hard work that went into bringing the film to life.

Lead actor Naveen Raj Sankarapu shared that the team spent considerable time living among fishermen to understand their lifestyle and bring authenticity to the narrative. He emotionally dedicated the film to his father and expressed confidence that audiences would connect with their sincere effort.

Actresses Sreelu and Pooja Suhasini also spoke about their enriching experience, recalling the physically demanding yet memorable shoot in harsh coastal conditions.
