“I Played a Character with Many Different Shades in Vishnu Vinyasam; The Film Will Entertain Everyone” – Nayan Sarika
King of Entertainment Sree Vishnu is all set to amuse audiences with his upcoming hilarious entertainer Vishnu Vinyasam. Directed by Yadunaath Maruthi Rao and produced by Sumanth Naidu G under the Sree Subrahmanyeshwara Cinemas banner, the film stars Nayan Sarika as the female lead opposite Sree Vishnu.
The promotional content has already created a strong buzz, and the film is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on February 27. On this occasion, actress Nayan Sarika interacted with the media and shared interesting insights about the film and her role.
Tell us about your character in Vishnu Vinyasam?
I’ve played a very different kind of role in this film. My character has multiple shades and comes across as slightly female-dominant. Initially, she might even feel irritating to the male characters. But once the reason behind her behavior is revealed in the second half, the audience will understand her perspective and start liking the character.

Your character looked a bit bold in the teaser. What was your reaction when you heard the narration?
I absolutely loved the character when it was narrated to me. The scenes shown in the teaser are very important for both the story and the character arc. I play a character named Manisha, a woman who has gone through many struggles in life. After reaching a certain point, she just wants to live peacefully and happily.
I appear as a college faculty member, and Vishnu garu’s character is also a lecturer. The film is essentially a love story between two lecturers. Students and youth audiences will definitely connect with it.
Could you tell us about your journey in films?
I am originally from Maharashtra and have completed my graduation. My first film itself was in Telugu, and I’ve continued working here since then. Telugu cinema will always be my top priority.
Getting consecutive successes with films like Gangam Ganesh, Aay, and Ka has been very encouraging. I believe Vishnu Vinyasam will also bring me more recognition. I’m truly grateful for the love and support from Telugu audiences. Going forward, I want to do films with strong stories, well-written characters, and explore different roles with scope for performance.
How was it working with Sree Vishnu?
It was a very fun journey. He is extremely jovial and positive. Listening to him talk itself is entertaining, and many of his words stay with you. Working with him was a wonderful experience.
What about the director?
Director Yadunaath Maruthi Rao is very talented. I enjoyed the narration itself. He is a filmmaker with great clarity and guided me a lot for my character. Working with him made me really happy.
A few words about the producers?
The producers made this film with a lot of passion and supported us in every aspect. Sumanth garu ensured that everything required for the film was provided without compromise.

Your favorite song from the film?
Composer Radhan has given fantastic songs, and the background score is also excellent. I personally love the breakup song, and Modhale Modhale is another favorite of mine.
Did you always want to become an actress?
No, actually I wanted to become a lawyer. But I always had a love for cinema since childhood, and that passion eventually became my career. I’m very happy with my journey as an actress.
Comedy is considered difficult. What’s your take?
Making people laugh is really challenging. Vishnu garu has a very natural sense of comic timing and is extremely talented in that aspect. His on-the-spot improvisations are excellent, and since he is such a natural performer, it elevated all of our performances.
How did it feel to receive a Filmfare Award?
I grew up watching the Filmfare Awards on television. Receiving an award on that very stage felt incredibly special—like a dream coming true.
Your dream project?
I would love to work in a film directed by S. S. Rajamouli. Being part of his film is my dream project.
What are your upcoming films?
I’m currently working on Raakasa, which is a fantasy comedy. I’m also doing a Kannada film with Golden Star Ganesh.
