You’re making a comeback to Telugu cinema after many years. How does it feel? Tell us about your character.
After Brahma, I’m returning to Telugu cinema with Jatadhara, and I’m truly happy about it. I play a character named Shobha, who is very interesting and layered. She’s someone obsessed with money and dreams of becoming rich at any cost. It’s an important role in the film.
Playing this character was quite challenging because I’ve never portrayed someone like her before. But thanks to my directors’ clear vision and constant support, I was able to bring Shobha to life. Making my Telugu re-entry with Jatadhara feels wonderful.
How was it working with Sudheer Babu?
Working with Sudheer Babu was a great experience. There’s so much to learn from this generation of actors — their discipline, passion, and commitment. Sudheer is extremely dedicated; he gave his hundred percent to the project. Sharing screen space with him was truly wonderful.
Interestingly, Sudheer and I are relatives, but on set, we were completely professional. Once the camera starts rolling, we’re just actors doing our job.
Superstar Mahesh Babu launched the film’s trailer. How did that feel?
It was such a joy and an honor that Mahesh Babu launched our trailer. His warm welcome to me back into the Telugu industry made the moment even more special.
How do you see the evolution of Telugu cinema since your Brahma days?
The Telugu film industry has evolved tremendously. The content has become richer, and technically, it’s at a world-class level now. Telugu cinema is currently in its best phase, creating magic on both national and international platforms.

What kind of film is Jatadhara?
Jatadhara is a fascinating supernatural thriller with breathtaking visuals and deep emotions. The music is beautiful, and the story has universal appeal — it’s something audiences from all backgrounds can connect with. I’m sure the film will be a memorable experience for everyone.
Tell us about directors Venkat Kalyan and Abhishek Jaiswal.
Both Venkat and Abhishek are extremely clear about their vision. They know exactly what they want from each actor and bring out the best performances. It was a pleasure working under their direction.
A few words about the producers.
Prerna Arora is a passionate and visionary producer. When she first narrated the story to me, I knew it was something special. The entire team has maintained excellent production values and made sure the film looks stunning on screen.
How is the response to the film so far?
The response has been fantastic across both Telugu and Hindi audiences. There’s a lot of curiosity and excitement everywhere. After the trailer release, expectations have risen even higher. On November 7, audiences are definitely in for something extraordinary.
Your favorite genre and dream role?
I love romantic comedies, and my dream is simply to keep doing good, meaningful cinema that connects with people.
