Actress Sridevi Vijaykumar, who made her debut opposite Prabhas in Eeswar (2002), is all set to make a strong comeback to the silver screen. While Prabhas went on to become a pan-Indian superstar, Sridevi took a step back from films after marriage to focus on her family. Now, with her daughter grown up, she is returning with Sundarakanda, releasing on August 27, where she plays one of the lead roles opposite Nara Rohith.

“I was honestly shocked when I first heard the story. It was so fresh and unique. I asked for some time to think about it, but the director was very confident and convinced me quickly. He has delivered the film exactly the way he promised. It has turned out beautifully — a wholesome entertainer with a lot of emotions. My role has many layers, and I thoroughly enjoyed playing it.”
“For this role, I even wore a school uniform! It was such a memorable experience. I saved a lot of pictures in that look. It’s definitely a character I will always cherish.”
