Jyothi Krishna Revamps Bobby Deol’s Character in Hari Hara Veera Mallu After Watching Animal
Bobby Deol’s portrayal of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb in Pawan Kalyan’s highly anticipated period action film Hari Hara Veera Mallu has undergone a significant transformation—thanks to director Jyothi Krishna’s creative vision following Deol’s performance in Animal.
Initially, Bobby had already shot several scenes for the film. However, everything changed after the director watched his intense, dialogue-free performance in Animal. Deeply impressed by Bobby’s ability to convey complex emotions solely through expressions, Jyothi Krishna felt inspired to reimagine the character of Aurangzeb.
“Bobby Deol garu’s performance in Animal was spellbinding. His expressive acting, even in the absence of dialogues, left a lasting impression on us. I felt compelled to reshape his character in our film and give it a complete makeover,” said the director.
Driven by the desire to bring greater emotional depth and intensity to the role, Jyothi Krishna reworked the character’s arc, enhancing its personality, backstory, motivations, and physical attributes. The goal was not just to elevate the impact of Aurangzeb’s presence in the story, but also to match Bobby Deol’s evolving screen persona and fan expectations.
“When I narrated the revamped version, Bobby garu was thrilled. He’s an actor who constantly seeks to reinvent himself and experiment with his roles,” the director added. “In Hari Hara Veera Mallu, he appears far more intense—his screen presence, grace, and the way he communicates through his eyes speak volumes.
