Jr. NTR’s Faith in Anirudh Deepens: Trio of Big Projects in the Pipeline?
Anirudh Ravichander has become one of the most sought-after music directors in Indian cinema, particularly in Tollywood, where fans are eager to see him collaborate with their favorite stars. Known for his chart-topping tracks and electrifying background scores, Anirudh has left a lasting mark with his work for top stars like Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Vijay, Ajith, and Dhanush.
In Telugu cinema, Anirudh made a major impact with Jr. NTR’s Devara, delivering a memorable soundtrack and a powerful score that significantly elevated the film. The musical magic he brought to Devara has reportedly strengthened NTR’s belief in Anirudh, to the point where the composer may now be on board for three of the star’s next four films.
It’s already known that Jr. NTR is joining hands with director Trivikram Srinivas for a mythological epic, with an official announcement expected soon. Industry buzz strongly suggests that Anirudh will be scoring the music for this ambitious project.
If true, this would mean a hat-trick of high-profile collaborations for Anirudh with NTR. He is already confirmed to compose for Devara 2, and is also the frontrunner for the NTR-Nelson project—given that Anirudh has scored all of Nelson’s films so far. With Trivikram’s film joining the lineup, fans are understandably thrilled at the musical possibilities.
The only major upcoming NTR project that may not feature Anirudh is the film with director Prashanth Neel. Barring that, the actor’s slate appears heavily tilted in favor of Anirudh’s musical genius, much to the excitement of fans who are hoping for yet another series of blockbuster soundtracks.
While Anirudh’s contribution to Devara Part 1 was widely praised—often credited with saving flat scenes through his compelling background score—there are some concerns from the production side. Anirudh is known to take considerable time for re-recording (RR) work and has a reputation for missing deadlines due to his packed schedule. However, the creative value he brings to a project often outweighs these logistical hurdles, making him a top choice for directors and producers alike.
Interestingly, Anirudh was initially roped in for NTR and Trivikram’s earlier film Aravinda Sametha, but he exited the project midway. If the current reports are accurate, the trio is finally coming together for this long-awaited collaboration, which will be produced by Haarika & Hassine Creations.
