Singer Mangli Booked After Birthday Bash Raid in Chevella
Popular folk singer Mangli has landed in legal trouble after her birthday celebration at Tripura Resort in Chevella was disrupted by a police raid. The Chevella police booked the singer following multiple violations observed during the late-night event, including the alleged use of narcotics, absence of official permissions, and unauthorized sound system usage.
According to authorities, the raid was conducted based on a tip-off. During the inspection, an individual identified as Damodar was reportedly caught consuming ganja on the premises. Police are now investigating the extent of substance abuse at the party.
Mangli has been booked for hosting the event without prior police permission and for serving alcohol without approval from excise officials. Additionally, the general manager of Tripura Resorts has also been booked for allowing the event to take place without the required permits. DJ equipment used at the venue was confiscated due to the absence of a valid sound permission license.
Several public figures, including actress Divi and lyricist Kasarla Shyam, were reportedly present at the celebration. As part of the ongoing investigation, police are expected to issue notices to the attendees.
