‘Single’ Set to Entertain Families This Summer — Hero Sree Vishnu

The King of Entertainment, Sree Vishnu, is all set to entertain with the wholesome entertainer #Single, under the prestigious Geetha Arts banner. The film stars Ketika Sharma and Ivana as the female leads, with Vennela Kishore in a crucial role. Directed by Karthik Raju, the film is produced by Vidya Koppineedi, Bhanu Pratap, and Riyaz Chowdary in association with Kalyan Films, and presented by Mega Producer Allu Aravind.
The teaser, trailer, and songs have already created a huge buzz. #Single is set to release in theatres on May 9. On this occasion, hero Sree Vishnu shared his thoughts at a press meet:

“Hello everyone. I’m very happy to meet you all. Our film ‘Single’ is releasing on May 9. It’s been made with the intention of entertaining the audience with laughter from beginning to end. The story and screenplay are fresh. It’s a beautiful love story. Both the interval and climax are unique. Every scene is relatable. Youth will strongly connect with it, and families too can enjoy it happily. What we envisioned has come out wonderfully on screen. I hope the audience will enjoy the film wholeheartedly.”

When Karthik Raju narrated the story, what did you feel after seeing the final output?
“I believed it would be a good entertainer when I first heard the story. After watching the final output, I felt it has become a big entertainer.”
The title is ‘Single’, but there are two heroines?
“It has a very unique climax that everyone will like. My character, Vennela Kishore’s character, and both heroines’ characters — audiences will enjoy all four. The climax is very unique and entertaining.”
About the filming locations
“We shot the entire film in Hyderabad and showcased the city in a very fresh way. Recently, no one has shown Hyderabad like this. We’ve captured many great moments.”
On Vennela Kishore’s character
“The film wouldn’t exist without either of our characters. Once Kishore garu came on board, we felt 100% confident about the project.”
About character transformation
“I enjoy every character I do. I travel closely with the director — that process brings 50% of the performance. The rest develops on location as I gain more command over the character.”
On your distinct dialogue delivery/diction
“Youngsters especially enjoy this kind of diction. I take special care with it, with the aim to make audiences laugh as much as possible.”
About the producers’ support
“They provided a lot of comfort during the shoot and took great care in post-production. They are all experienced, which made everything easier.”
Will your body language be different in this film?
“Yes. It’s a love story, and the freshness of the love story will reflect in the body language too. Compared to my past films, this will be different.”

“The film has high energy, and he matched that with energetic songs. The RR is great and has a very innovative sound.”

“He gave superb cinematography. He showed Hyderabad in a fresh way that audiences will enjoy on screen.”
What’s your take on changing styles and staying fresh?
“It’s been 16 years since I entered the industry. I believe I’ve never bored the audience. Big changes are coming. A revolution is on the way, with next-gen talent emerging. I’m ready for that and will give my best in every role.”
How do you feel about the response to ‘Swag’?
“Coming after films like ‘Samajavaragamana’ and ‘Om Bheem Bush’, people expected ‘Swag’ to be a full comedy. But we couldn’t prepare the right content accordingly, which caused some confusion. While those expecting full-on fun may have been a bit disappointed, those seeking something different liked it. Even on TV, it received a good response. When an experiment doesn’t work, we take it as experience. Whether it works or not, I believe in not giving up on trying something new.”
Upcoming films?
“I’m working on a thriller called ‘Mrityunjaya’, a family entertainer, and another film set against a forest backdrop.”
