Ram Charan Confident ‘Peddi’ Will Be One of His Best Films
Mega Power Star Ram Charan expressed immense confidence in his upcoming action drama Peddi during the film’s grand Bengaluru press meet, stating that the team worked with complete honesty and dedication, and that the film would stand out as one of the best in his career.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has already generated massive buzz across the country with its striking glimpse, chartbuster songs, and powerful theatrical trailer. Produced by Venkat Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, in association with Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film is gearing up for a worldwide theatrical release on June 4, with special premieres scheduled on June 3.
Addressing the media and fans in Bengaluru, Ram Charan thanked Kannada audiences for their love and support. He said returning to the big screen after nearly two-and-a-half years with a film like Peddi feels special. Calling the film one of the most inspiring projects of his life, Charan shared that the entire team poured their heart and soul into the movie.
Speaking about Kannada Superstar Shivarajkumar, Ram Charan described him as a father figure, brother, and mentor, adding that working alongside such a legendary actor was a blessing. He also praised music maestro A. R. Rahman for being part of the project and appreciated actress Janhvi Kapoor for her sincere performance. Charan thanked producer Satish Kilaru, cinematographer Rathnavelu, Jagapathi Babu, and especially filmmaker Sukumar for being instrumental in bringing the film to life.
Kannada Superstar Shivarajkumar showered praise on Ram Charan, calling him one of the most hardworking and sincere actors in Indian cinema. He said Charan’s journey from his debut film to now has been inspiring and added that he shares a strong emotional bond with him. Shivarajkumar revealed that he immediately agreed to be part of Peddi when Charan approached him, praising Buchi Babu Sana for crafting a memorable role.
The veteran actor confidently stated that Ram Charan deserves a National Award for his performance in Peddi. He also highlighted the emotional depth of the story and said the bonding between his character and Charan’s role would strongly connect with audiences. According to him, Peddi carries universal emotions that transcend language barriers and will leave a lasting impact on viewers.
Janhvi Kapoor shared her excitement about being part of the film and called Peddi a very special story. She expressed happiness about acting alongside Ram Charan and said sharing screen space with Shivarajkumar in a scene was a memorable honor for her.
