‘Pithapuramlo… Ala Modalaindi’ Set for May 1 Release
The much-awaited film ‘Pithapuramlo… Ala Modalaindi’, directed by veteran filmmaker Mahesh Chandra, is all set to hit the big screens on May 1st. Backed by producers Dundigalla Balakrishna, Akula Suresh Patel, and F.M. Murali (Godavari Kittayya) under the Mahesh Chandra Cinema Team banner, the film promises a heartfelt cinematic experience.
The movie boasts a strong ensemble cast featuring Dr. Rajendra Prasad, Prudhviraj, Kedar Shankar, Mani Chandana, Annapurnamma, Sunny Akhil, Virat, Sai Praneeth, Sreelu, Prathyusha, and Rehana in key roles.
Speaking about the film, director Mahesh Chandra expressed confidence and excitement:
“The trailer and the two songs released recently have received a tremendous response from the audience. ‘Pithapuramlo… Ala Modalaindi’ blends romance, subtle humor, and deep emotional elements. At its core, the film beautifully explores the touching bond between a father and daughter.”
He further added that the film carries a meaningful message for today’s youth:
“It serves as a gentle cautionary tale, highlighting what the younger generation might lose if they take the wrong path in life. At the same time, it offers a positive and relatable message that resonates with audiences across all age groups.”
One of the film’s standout aspects is its realistic portrayal of characters and situations. The director emphasized that the characters feel incredibly natural—like people from our own neighborhoods—making the narrative highly relatable.
“Watching this film feels like witnessing real-life moments unfold organically, as if a camera simply captured everyday life,” he noted.
Mahesh Chandra also reflected on his career, expressing hope that this film will mark a significant milestone:
“Just as my earlier film ‘Preyasi Rave’ became a turning point in my journey, I strongly believe ‘Pithapuramlo… Ala Modalaindi’ will usher in a new phase in my career.”

Adding further depth to the film, renowned sculptor Rajkumar Wodeyar plays a pivotal role, while the voice-over by the legendary “Haasya Brahma” Brahmanandam stands out as a special highlight.
The extended cast also includes Jayavahini, Dasari Padma, Jr. Pawan Kalyan, J.D.V Prasad, K.A. Paul Ramu, and Jabardasth Seshu, contributing to the film’s rich ensemble.
