Nithiin’s ‘Alias Rukmini’ Announced by Nani
After delivering the critically acclaimed blockbuster COURT – State Vs A Nobody, Natural Star Nani’s Unanimous Productions has officially announced its second production venture. Titled Alias Rukmini, the film stars Nithiin in the lead and is directed by Murali Kanth Devasoth, who won widespread acclaim for his debut directorial Dhandora. The film is produced by Deepthi Ganta.
The makers unveiled the project with a captivating announcement video that instantly grabbed attention, introducing audiences to a mysterious world while revealing the film’s intriguing title.
Announcement Video Raises Curiosity
The announcement video opens with a black screen featuring an interesting conversation between Nani and director Murali Kanth Devasoth. Curious about the much-discussed script, Nani asks the filmmaker to narrate the story.
Murali begins by saying that it is the story of Krishna, but instead of revealing the protagonist, viewers are introduced to several novels written by the mysterious author Rukmini. Interestingly, every novel carries a romantic title, including Garam Gopal, Ameku Ame Ante Ishtam, and Vratham Venkanna.
Confused, Nani interrupts, asking, “You said this is Krishna’s story. Then who is Rukmini?”
The mystery deepens as the video concludes with the reveal of Nithiin as Krishna, a mathematics teacher working in an office. Calmly adjusting his spectacles, he delivers a single line—“My wife.” The unexpected revelation leaves audiences intrigued and eager to uncover the mystery behind the story.
Without revealing much about the plot, the announcement video impresses with its unconventional narrative style, atmospheric visuals, engaging background score, and emotionally layered premise, hinting at a refreshing blend of romance, mystery, and entertainment.
Nani’s Backing Adds Excitement
Known for recognizing unique and content-driven scripts, Nani’s association with Alias Rukmini has significantly heightened expectations. Following the massive success of COURT – State Vs A Nobody, the banner continues its commitment to backing original storytelling.
Director Murali Kanth Devasoth, who impressed audiences with Dhandora, appears to have crafted another distinctive narrative. The announcement video offers a glimpse into his signature storytelling style, promising a film packed with emotion, mystery, romance, and memorable characters.
Grand Muhurtham Ceremony
The film was formally launched today with a traditional pooja ceremony attended by the cast and crew.
Nani sounded the clapboard for the muhurtham shot, while Nithiin’s father Sudhakar Reddy switched on the camera. Ganta Rambabu (Nani’s father) and producer Venkat Boyanapally handed over the script to the team. COURT director Ram Jagadeesh and filmmaker Sailesh Kolanu jointly directed the ceremonial first shot.
