“Rakshas Reddy” Roars: Manchu Manoj’s David Reddy Teaser Unveiled, Grand Pan-India Release This Dusshera
On the occasion of ‘Raw King’ Manchu Manoj’s birthday, the makers unveiled the powerful teaser of his upcoming film David Reddy. Produced by Nallagangula Venkat Reddy and Bharat Motukuri under the Velvet Soul Motion Pictures and True Radix banners, the film is directed by Hanuma Reddy Yakkanti. Set against the backdrop of British colonial rule in India, David Reddy is being mounted as a massive pan-India action drama in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The film is slated for a grand theatrical release during the Dusshera season.
The teaser presents a visually stunning and technically rich cinematic world set between 1897 and 1920. Every frame reflects the film’s grand scale, from the production design to the intense action and period detailing.
Unlike Mahatma Gandhi’s path of non-violence, David Reddy chooses violence as his weapon against oppression. He wages a brutal war against British forces who torture innocent Indians, becoming a nightmare for the Empire. As his influence spreads, national leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose are shown taking notice of his growing impact. Meanwhile, in London, British Intelligence officials discuss the threat posed by David Reddy in their war room.
The teaser also introduces a fascinating conflict around the character. Despite protecting innocent people, David Reddy appears willing to betray his own nation, leaving the British authorities intrigued. Impressed by his fearlessness in taking on 2,000 soldiers from 50 battalions single-handedly, they attempt to recruit him to their side.
