Kiran Abbavaram’s KA13 Titled ‘Reality’
Joy Films’ ambitious production to hit theatres on December 25, 2026
Promising young hero Kiran Abbavaram is coming up with one of the most ambitious projects of his career. His upcoming film, previously known as #KA13, has now been titled Reality. Produced by Sudhakar Chaganti under the Joy Films banner, with Suresh Yerra as co-producer, the film is slated for a grand theatrical release on December 25, 2026, coinciding with the Christmas festive season.
Following the success of Ka and K-Ramp, Kiran Abbavaram has taken complete creative responsibility for this project. Apart from playing the lead role, he has also handled the story, screenplay and direction. Made on the biggest budget of his career, the film is currently progressing at a brisk pace, with the shoot nearing completion. The team is presently filming in Machilipatnam.
The makers had earlier generated curiosity with a quirky first-look announcement, followed by an entertaining behind-the-scenes video that showcased the lively atmosphere on the sets. Now, the team has unveiled the title glimpse of Reality, offering audiences a closer look at the film’s world, characters and emotional core.
Kiran Abbavaram plays Anandam, a responsible young man who runs Anandam Hotel with immense dedication. He takes great pride in his profession and finds happiness in serving food to people and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. For Anandam, the true feeling of being “high” comes not from anything extravagant, but from something deeply relatable—clearing all his family debts.
This simple yet powerful idea reflects the aspirations and struggles of middle-class families, making Anandam an instantly relatable character. The title Reality therefore perfectly complements the film’s grounded storytelling and its focus on emotions drawn from everyday life.
The glimpse also highlights Kiran Abbavaram’s writing sensibilities. The situations appear rooted in ordinary life, yet they carry warmth, humour and emotional depth. A sequence in which Anandam shares his happiness with his friends is followed by a heartwarming family moment on the terrace, where he enjoys making appadams with his loved ones. These scenes underline the film’s emphasis on family, relationships, happiness and the beauty of everyday moments.
As an actor, Kiran Abbavaram appears to have completely immersed himself in the character of Anandam. His portrayal of a youngster who prioritises his family and finds joy in simple things promises to connect strongly with audiences, particularly family viewers.
Devika Bhat plays the female lead, while the film features an ensemble cast including Sharat Kumar, Sai Kumar, Rohini, Annapurnamma and Sudharshan in important roles.
On the technical front, Viswas Daniel handles the cinematography, bringing an immersive visual texture to the film’s grounded world. Bheems Ceciroleo is composing the music, while the use of the popular Bhaja Govindam track in the background adds an additional feel-good touch to the glimpse. Sudheer Macharla is the production designer, Santhosh Naidu is the editor, and Rajesh Kamarsu is the costume designer.
The title glimpse of Reality delivers a wholesome, full-meal feast of emotions, humour and relatable family moments. With its grounded premise and Kiran Abbavaram taking charge of multiple creative departments, the film has already generated curiosity among audiences.
