Kayadu Lohar Returns to Malayalam with Pallichattambi’
The makers of Pallichattambi, directed by Dijo Jose Antony with Tovino Thomas in the lead, have released a brand-new poster featuring the film’s female lead, Kayadu Lohar. This single-character poster not only highlights Kayadu’s striking presence but also officially confirms the film’s release date. Pallichattambi is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on April 9, with posters unveiled simultaneously in five languages, including Malayalam.
Earlier, Kayadu Lohar’s announcement video as the heroine of Pallichattambi created considerable buzz on social media. The actress rose to prominence among South Indian audiences after her impactful performance in the Tamil blockbuster Dragon, making her return to Malayalam cinema highly anticipated.
In Pallichattambi, Tovino Thomas will be seen in a never-before-seen avatar, adding to the intrigue surrounding the period drama. The film is produced by Noufal and Brijeesh under the banner of Worldwide Films, along with Chanukya, Chaitanya, and Charan under C Qube Bros Entertainments. The screenplay has been penned by S. Suresh Babu, and the film will be released in five languages, aiming for a wide pan-Indian reach.
Set against the backdrop of the 1950s–60s, Pallichattambi features a strong ensemble cast that includes Vijay Raghavan, Sudheer Karamana, Baburaj, Vinod Kedamangalam, Prashanth Alex, and several other prominent actors.
The film boasts an experienced technical crew, with cinematography by Tijo Tomy and music composed by Mollywood’s popular music director Jakes Bejoy. Megha Shyam and Thanseer serve as co-producers. Costume design is handled by Manjusha Radhakrishnan, while makeup is by Rasheed Ahmed. The line producer is Alex E. Kurien, with Anil Amballur as finance controller and Rajesh Menon as production controller.
Renith Raj and Kiran Raphael are the chief associate directors. Sound design is by Sync Cinema, art direction by Rajesh Menon, and casting by Binoy Nambala. Digital marketing is managed by Akhil Vishnu V.S, PR by Akshay Prakash, still photography by Rishlal Unnikrishnan, and poster design by Yellowtooths.
