Kajal Aggarwal & Shreyas Talpade’s “The India Story” Locks July 24 Release
A powerful socio-national drama, The India Story, starring Kajal Aggarwal and Shreyas Talpade, is gearing up for a theatrical release on July 24. Directed by Chettan DK and written and produced by Sagar B Shinde, the film promises a gripping narrative rooted in a pressing issue of national relevance.
Also referred to as The India Story: Slow Poison during its development phase, the film dives deep into the alarming consequences of chemical misuse—particularly in pesticide-driven agriculture. While the story begins with a personal tragedy, it gradually unfolds into a much larger crisis, shedding light on the widespread impact of toxic practices on public health and safety. By addressing systemic failures and regulatory loopholes, the film raises urgent questions about accountability and reform.
Speaking about the film’s intent, Sagar B Shinde shared,
“This story reflects a reality that often goes unnoticed, yet affects countless lives. The misuse of chemicals in pesticide farming is not just an environmental issue—it’s a human crisis. Through this film, we aim to spark awareness and encourage meaningful conversations around responsibility and change.”

The India Story will release in Hindi, Telugu, and Tamil as a Zee Studios worldwide release.
