Commercial Courtroom Drama ‘Due Date’ Launched Grandly in Hyderabad
The much-awaited commercial courtroom drama Due Date was officially launched with a grand pooja ceremony on Wednesday in Hyderabad, with several prominent personalities from the Telugu film industry gracing the event.
Marking a new milestone in his career, noted Telugu film journalist and PRO Eluru Srinu is making his debut as a producer with the film, joining hands with Pawan Tarigopula under the Varshish Studios banner. The film is being directed by Anand K.
The muhurat shot featuring lead actors Lomesh Pudipeddi and Jshree, along with key cast members Praneeth Patnaik and Vignani, was ceremonially filmed. Successful director Maruthi gave the inaugural clap for the opening shot, while producer Bunny Vas switched on the camera. Producers SKN, Dheeraj Mogilineni, and Vamsi Nandipati formally handed over the script to director Anand K, extending their best wishes to the team.
The launch ceremony witnessed the presence of several distinguished guests, including directors Vijay Kanakamedala and VI Anand, along with leading filmmakers, producers, and members of the Telugu film fraternity, making the event a memorable affair.
Speaking at the event, the producers revealed that Due Date is a gripping commercial courtroom drama inspired by a relevant contemporary issue. They expressed confidence that the film will keep audiences hooked with its edge-of-the-seat screenplay, powerful emotions, and engaging courtroom confrontations. They added that every aspect of the project—from its intriguing title to its narrative and presentation—has been carefully crafted to offer a fresh cinematic experience while delivering wholesome entertainment.
The makers also announced that the film’s regular shooting schedule will commence shortly.
Due Date features Lomesh Pudipeddi, Jshree, Praneeth Patnaik, Vignani, Chandu, and several other talented actors in pivotal roles. With a unique courtroom backdrop and a commercially appealing narrative, the film aims to strike a balance between thought-provoking content and mainstream entertainment.
