Director Praveen Kandregula, who made a mark with the critically acclaimed Cinema Bandi, returns with his next compelling venture, Paradha. Produced under the Ananda Media banner by Vijay Donkada, Sreenivasulu PV, and Sridhar Makkuva, the film is being presented by the renowned filmmaker duo Raj & DK, known for The Family Man and Farzi. Notably, Raj recently scored big as a producer with the Samantha-starrer Subham.

Paradha features Anupama Parameswaran in a powerful lead role, supported by a stellar cast including Darshana Rajendran, Sangitha, and Rag Mayur. The film is scheduled for a grand theatrical release on August 22nd, 2025.

To mark the announcement, the makers have unveiled the soul-stirring song “Yatra Naryastu”, composed by acclaimed music director Gopi Sundar. This emotionally resonant track, rooted in the theme of feminine divinity and resilience, highlights the film’s spiritual depth. Lyricist Vanamali crafts thought-provoking verses that celebrate womanhood, while Anurag Kulkarni’s stirring vocals elevate the song into a spiritual and emotional experience.

The visuals of “Yatra Naryastu” offer a poignant portrayal: Anupama Parameswaran is seen in a white saree, symbolizing sorrow and strength, as her character confronts a painful social custom imposed by her village. The scene, enriched by her family’s visible anguish, mirrors deep-rooted societal challenges faced by women. The imagery is both heart-wrenching and empowering, laying the emotional foundation for the narrative.

The release date poster further enhances the intrigue — it features Anupama draped in a traditional saree, standing resolute, while a divine idol looms in the background. This visual not only signifies the cultural and spiritual tone of the film but also reinforces the protagonist’s inner strength.

With cinematography by Mridul Sujit Sen and editing by Dharmendra Kakarala, Paradha promises to be a deeply moving cinematic experience that blends tradition, emotion, and social commentary. The film is already generating buzz thanks to its impactful first song, emotionally charged glimpses, and the impressive cast and crew lineup.
