A.R. Rahman on Bringing Rama and Sita’s Love Story to Life
Speaking about composing the music for Ramayana and capturing the relationship between Rama and Sita through ‘Rangulu Ranguley’, A.R. Rahman said, “Ramayana is a story that has lived in the hearts of people for generations, and approaching it through music was a very special experience for me. There is a certain purity and tenderness in the relationship between Rama and Sita that I wanted the music to hold on to. With Rangulu Ranguley, I hope listeners feel that warmth and devotion, and find something personal in the melody. Some stories don’t need to be explained; they simply need to be felt.”
Vaishali Samant on the Telugu Version
Singer Vaishali Samant expressed her happiness at being part of the prestigious project through the Telugu version of the song.
“Being part of Rangulu Ranguley has been a very special experience. Rama and Sita’s relationship carries so much love, trust and devotion, and there is a beautiful gentleness to the way their story unfolds in this song. I approached it with a lot of emotion, hoping to do justice to the feeling at its heart. To be able to share this story with Telugu-speaking audiences through music is something I feel very fortunate about,” she said.
Dr. Kumar Vishwas on Writing the Lyrics for ‘Mangal Rang’

Sharing his thoughts on writing ‘Mangal Rang’, the Hindi song celebrating the divine wedding of Lord Rama and Maa Sita, lyricist Dr. Kumar Vishwas spoke about the spiritual significance of the occasion and the challenge of expressing its grandeur through words.
He said he had made several attempts to write a song celebrating Shri Ram’s divine wedding. However, each time he revisited his verses, he felt that the grandeur of the celestial occasion was far beyond what his words could capture. Eventually, he turned to Maa Saraswati in prayer, believing that whatever the composition became was her creation.
Reflecting on the eternal bond between Shri Ram and Mata Sita, Kumar Vishwas explained that their relationship transcends lifetimes and cannot be confined to a single Yuga. He drew a parallel between Rama’s birth into the Suryavansh and Sita’s emergence from Mother Earth, describing the Sun as a symbol of royal power and sovereignty, and the Earth as the source of nourishment, agriculture and life.
According to him, their union represents more than a divine marriage; it symbolises the fundamental connection between the forces that sustain life itself.
A Musical Celebration Across Five Languages
With A.R. Rahman’s evocative composition, heartfelt performances and visually rich storytelling, ‘Rangulu Ranguley’ adds another musical dimension to Ramayana. The release across five languages allows audiences from different regions to experience the emotional essence of Rama and Sita’s story in their own language.
The songs from the film are being released under the T-Series label.
