Niharika Dasari under the Brindavan Creations banner and presented by K. Srilatha Reddy, the film will be released worldwide through Mythri Movie Distributors. Ahead of the release, producer K. Niharika Dasari interacted with the media and shared interesting insights into the making of the film, Ruthvik’s dedication, and her journey as a producer.
What inspired you to become a producer? How did the journey of Raja The Raja begin?
Becoming a producer wasn’t an overnight decision. I spent nearly four to five years thinking about it before taking the plunge. Ruthvik has always been passionate about cinema. He even studied filmmaking in the United States and acted in a short film where he portrayed two contrasting characters. After watching his performance, I became confident that he had the potential to be launched as a hero. Although he received a few story offers, we wanted to introduce him with a character that would truly challenge him as an actor. That’s when Raja The Raja came into our lives.
What impressed you the most about the story?
The biggest strength of the film is its powerful storyline. Ruthvik plays two completely different shades, which is a huge challenge for any actor, especially in a debut film. He embraced that challenge with complete dedication. Every member of our team gave their hundred percent to this project. We were confident about the script from the beginning, and after watching the final output, we felt the film had turned out even better than we had imagined.

The trailer has drawn comparisons with Magadheera. What do you think about that?
While making the film, we never intended to create something similar to Magadheera. However, after the trailer’s release, many people compared it to that iconic film, which is definitely a compliment. That said, the stories are entirely different. Audiences will understand the unique twist and originality once they watch the film.
Tell us about Ruthvik and his preparation for the role.
Ruthvik has tremendous self-belief and always believed he could entertain audiences. His passion for acting dates back to his childhood. From his school days, he actively participated in skits and stage performances. After completing his education, he decided to pursue his dream of becoming an actor.
He is incredibly passionate and committed. I strongly believe audiences will recognize his sincerity after watching the film. For Raja The Raja, he even followed method acting to prepare for his character. Initially, I couldn’t fully understand his approach, but once I saw the results on set and the appreciation he received from the crew, I realized how committed he was. He also performed all the risky action sequences without using a body double. As a producer, I was worried during those sequences, but his confidence and dedication were remarkable. I am sure audiences will appreciate the hard work he has put into his debut.
Will you continue producing films in the future?
Absolutely. I would love to continue as a producer. The film industry welcomed us with warmth and encouragement despite us being newcomers. The teaser and trailer have received a wonderful response, and I sincerely hope the audience showers the same love on the film after its release.
How long did the shooting take?
The film was shot over a period of more than 80 days. We built several special sets exclusively for the movie, and the visual effects have also come out exceptionally well, adding richness to the overall cinematic experience.
Tell us about the heroine and supporting cast.
We felt Vishaka Dhiman was the perfect choice for the female lead. She delivered a very natural performance. We were also fortunate to have experienced actors like Sai Kumar, Naresh, and Avasarala Srinivas, who supported us throughout the journey. Despite us being newcomers, they made us feel comfortable and encouraged us at every stage.
How does it feel to have Mythri Movie Distributors release the film?
We are extremely grateful to Mythri Movie Distributors for believing in our film. Their support has been tremendous, and having such a reputed distribution house release our movie is a big confidence booster. We will always remain thankful to Ravi Garu and Naveen Garu for standing by us.
What can audiences expect from Raja The Raja?
This is a wholesome feel-good entertainer that appeals to audiences of all age groups. The film features four beautiful songs, engaging emotions, and an entertaining narrative. The chemistry between Ruthvik and Vishaka Dhiman is one of the film’s biggest highlights. They look fresh and adorable on screen, and I believe audiences will enjoy watching them together. Overall, Raja The Raja offers a refreshing cinematic experience.

How has life changed after becoming a producer?
It has been a life-changing journey. My family and friends have supported me immensely throughout this process. I must especially thank my mother-in-law, who constantly encouraged and motivated me during the making of this film.
What would you like to say about director Anil Boyidapu?
Anil is a highly creative filmmaker. He invested a great deal of time in pre-production and came to the sets with thorough planning. His clarity, preparation, and dedication played a major role in shaping the film into what it is today.
Finally, what would you like to tell the audience?
We have made Raja The Raja with immense love, passion, and hard work. We are extremely happy with the way the film has shaped up and are confident that it will offer audiences a memorable theatrical experience. I wholeheartedly request everyone to watch Raja The Raja in theatres on July 17 and bless our team with your love and support.
