Roshan Kanakala’s High-Concept Sci-Fi Entertainer Launched Grandly; VI Anand Backs Debut Director Vijay K Kamisetty

A new cinematic universe is all set to take shape in Telugu cinema as actor Roshan Kanakala headlines an ambitious sci-fi fantasy entertainer, officially launched with a grand pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. Directed by debutant Vijay K Kamisetty, the film promises to blend romance, fantasy, comedy, mystery, and science fiction into a visually spectacular theatrical experience.
Starring Roshan Kanakala and Gahazy in the lead roles, the film also features Satya, Sudarshan, Ravi Teja Nannimala, and a talented ensemble cast in pivotal roles.
The project marks the directorial debut of Vijay K Kamisetty, who has worked extensively with acclaimed filmmaker VI Anand as his Chief Associate Director and dialogue writer. Vijay played a key creative role in successful films such as Tiger, Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada, Okka Kshanam, Disco Raja, and Swayambhu. For this ambitious venture, he has penned the screenplay and dialogues in addition to directing the film.
The story has been conceived by VI Anand, one of Telugu cinema’s most innovative filmmakers, known for creating unique fantasy and science-fiction worlds. Backed by producers Balaji Gutta and Koushik Reddy under the Gutta Productions banner, in association with Kamalakar Film Corporation, the film is being mounted on an impressive scale with a fresh and intriguing concept.
The project was ceremonially launched at the sacred Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple in Kakatiya Hills with a traditional pooja. Actor Nikhil gave the ceremonial clap for the muhurtham shot, while renowned cinematographer KK Senthil Kumar switched on the camera. VI Anand handed over the script to the team and directed the inaugural shot, extending his blessings and support to the debut filmmaker.
The makers describe the film as a one-of-a-kind entertainer that seamlessly combines fantasy, romance, comedy, mystery, and cutting-edge science fiction. With a strong emotional core and stunning visual storytelling, the film aims to transport audiences into an extraordinary world filled with imagination, thrilling adventures, and unexpected twists.
The technical crew boasts several acclaimed names. Sekhar Chandra will compose the music, Anvesh Varala will handle cinematography, Chota K Prasad takes charge of editing, while Brahma Kadali serves as the production designer. Tharun Reddy is the Co-Producer, with VI Anand and Anusha Veluswamy serving as Creative Producers. Bandi Bhaskar and Shailendra Kumar are the Executive Producers.
With pre-production progressing at a brisk pace, the makers are gearing up to commence regular shooting shortly. The film’s title, first-look poster, and several exciting updates are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
For now, the title remains under wraps, but the makers have one promise:
