Samyuktha’s The Black Gold Wraps Shoot in 60 Days
Marking a bold and defining phase in her career, versatile actress Samyuktha steps into a powerful new avatar with the intense, female-led action drama The Black Gold. Known for her impactful performances and a consistent streak of successful films, Samyuktha takes center stage in this gritty pan-Indian project that promises both scale and substance.
Directed by Yogesh KMC and produced by Razesh Danda under the Hasya Movies banner in association with Maganti Pictures, The Black Gold is shaping up to be a hard-hitting cinematic experience driven by raw intensity and gripping storytelling.
Set against the rugged and realistic backdrop of coal mines along the Telangana–Maharashtra border, the film follows a principled police officer who believes in the power of law over the weapon she carries. This unique narrative angle sets the tone for a compelling story that delves into one of India’s most controversial coal syndicates—allegedly linked to powerful political figures, including a Chief Minister. Inspired by real-life incidents, the film adds a layer of authenticity and edge to its narrative.
The newly released poster presents Samyuktha in a strikingly fierce look—standing confidently before a massive industrial machine, donning sunglasses, and holding a gun with effortless authority. The dusty, gritty atmosphere enhances the intensity of her character, hinting at a high-stakes action drama.
The film was shot across multiple real locations including Mancherial, Bellampalli, Kagaznagar, and Adilabad, along with specially constructed sets in Hyderabad. Impressively, the entire shoot was completed in just over 60 working days. The team executed five tightly planned schedules across more than 10 meticulously designed sets, with a workforce of over 300 crew members working on set every day.
A recently unveiled making video offers a glimpse into the scale and dedication behind the project, showcasing the relentless effort that went into bringing this ambitious film to life. The action sequences, in particular, are mounted on a grand scale rarely seen in heroine-centric films. Despite the film’s demanding nature, the team maintained remarkable efficiency, often shooting with two cameras simultaneously—and in some sequences, up to five cameras—to capture the action from multiple angles.
Backed by high production values and strong technical craftsmanship, The Black Gold is being designed to resonate with both mainstream audiences and the younger Gen Z demographic.
The film features a solid ensemble cast including Murali Sharma, Rao Ramesh, Nassar, Manish Wadhwa, Ramki, Ravindra Vijay, Adukalam Naren, BVS Ravi, Krishna Chaitanya, and Chandrika Ravi in key roles.
On the technical front, the film boasts music by Sam CS, cinematography by A. Vasanth, editing by Chota K Prasad, and production design by Sahi Suresh.
The Black Gold is slated for a grand pan-Indian release in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
