ETV Win Bags 7 Gaddar Awards; R. Narayana Murthy Congratulates Winners

Films produced by ETV Win made a remarkable impact at the prestigious Gaddar Awards, organized by the Government of Telangana. Movies produced by the platform secured awards across seven categories.

The award winners include:
Best Film: Raju Weds Rambayi
Best Children’s Film: Anaganaga
Second Best Short Film: Mouname Nee Bhasha
Best Director: Sailu Kampati (Raju Weds Rambayi)
Best Debut Feature Film Director: Sai Marthand (Little Hearts)
Best Male Actor: Chaitu Jonnalagadda (Raju Weds Rambayi)
Best Playback Singer: Anurag Kulkarni (Raju Weds Rambayi)

To celebrate this achievement, the makers of ETV Win organized a press meet along with the award winners.

R. Narayana Murthy: Youth Proved Their Strength

Speaking at the event, People’s Star R. Narayana Murthy congratulated the winners and said he was delighted to witness such talent being recognized.

He thanked Thammareddy Bharadwaja and Venu Udugula for inviting him to watch Raju Weds Rambayi. Praising director Sailu Kampati, Murthy said the filmmaker captured the essence of the soil and made a film that truly reflects the spirit of the land.

Murthy noted that most of the winners were young artists—actors, singers, and directors—which proves that the future belongs to the youth. He saluted both the young talents and the jury members who recognized them.

He also thanked the government led by Revanth Reddy for reviving the prestige of film awards. Murthy recalled how the Nandi Awards once carried immense prestige. By instituting awards in the name of legendary poet Gaddar, the Telangana government has brought renewed recognition and dignity to the film industry.

He added that Gaddar was a people’s poet and an inspiration across Telangana, and his legacy should continue.

Murthy also paid tribute to media baron Ramoji Rao, calling him a visionary and a guiding force. He said everything Ramoji Rao touched turned into success and that his contribution to the media and film industries is unparalleled.

According to Murthy, the original vision behind establishing ETV Win—to encourage meaningful cinema and new talent—is now becoming a reality. He applauded the platform for continuing to nurture creative voices and congratulated all the award-winning artists.

Murthy also appealed to N. Chandrababu Naidu to revive the Nandi Awards in Andhra Pradesh, just as Telangana has honored cinema with the Gaddar Awards.

Industry Voices Celebrate the Achievement

Producer Thammareddy Bharadwaja said that Ramoji Rao had earlier created a revolution with Usha Kiran Movies, and ETV Win is now carrying forward the same vision. He noted that with rising budgets and declining opportunities for small films, ETV Win has become a strong support system for emerging filmmakers.

Sai Krishna, Business Head of ETV Win, thanked the writers and directors who contributed to the platform’s success and credited Ramoji Rao’s vision for making it possible. He also thanked audiences for supporting their films and promised more exciting content in the future.

Content Head Nithin described receiving an award in the name of Gaddar as an honor greater than an Oscar. He expressed gratitude to the Telangana government and said the recognition brings greater responsibility to continue delivering meaningful cinema.

Director Venu Udugula thanked the government and jury members for honoring Raju Weds Rambayi with four prestigious awards. He also recalled that ETV gave him his first opportunity as a director and has supported his journey in the industry.

Director Sailu Kampati said winning the Gaddar Awards for Raju Weds Rambayi is a proud moment for the entire team. He thanked the Telangana government, producers, technicians, and ETV Win for their support.

Playback singer Anurag Kulkarni said this was the first award of his career and it holds a special place in his life. He thanked composer Suresh Bobbili, director Sailu Kampati, and Venu Udugula for their encouragement.

Producer Rahul said the joy of winning these awards is indescribable and thanked the entire cast and crew who worked on the film.

Director Sai Marthand said receiving the Best Debut Director award for Little Hearts feels like a dream. He expressed gratitude to the jury, the Telangana government, and ETV Win for the platform.

Director Sunny, who directed Anaganaga, said the award for Best Children’s Film brought immense happiness and proved that honest storytelling always resonates with audiences.

Producer Rakesh thanked ETV Win for supporting the project and appreciated actor Sumanth for trusting the story.

Filmmaker Vara Mullapudi spoke about the journey of Mouname Nee Bhasha, saying the emotional response from audiences made the experience memorable. He revealed that the film was inspired by a story titled Sankalpam written by Kalipatnam Ramarao, and thanked ETV Win for providing opportunities to bring such meaningful stories to the current generation.
