Tharun Bhascker’s Gaayapadda Simham Rap Track Out Now
The makers of Tharun Bhascker’s upcoming entertainer Gaayapadda Simham have unveiled a quirky promotional rap song, adding to the excitement surrounding the film. Directed by debutant Kasyap Sreenivas, the film recently grabbed attention with its humour-filled trailer, which received an overwhelming response for its relatable premise and hilarious narrative.
Produced by Saptaswa Media Works, POV Stories, and Zee Studios, and presented by Pavan Sadineni, the film promises a unique blend of satire and comedy. The newly released rap track perfectly captures the film’s playful and satirical tone.
The song dives into the chaotic life of the protagonist after US President Donald Trump’s massive deportation announcement turns his American Dream upside down. Featuring trendy beats and rap-driven vocals by composer Sweekar Agasthi and rapper Asura, the track blends witty satire with high-energy music. The lyrics, penned by Sweekar Agasthi with rap verses by Asura, cleverly poke fun at situations like rejection stamps on passports, towering Trump statues, and even a hilarious “Happy Deportation” cake-cutting moment.
The video further elevates the fun with vibrant choreography and spontaneous energy. Tharun Bhascker shines with his signature deadpan humour amid the absurd situations, while Vishnu Oi adds lively buddy vibes. A majestic lion appearing in the visuals symbolically represents the resilient “Gaayapadda Simham.” Adding to the charm, Sweekar Agasthi and Asura also make entertaining on-screen appearances.
The film stars Maanasa Choudhary and Faria Abdullah as the female leads, while Harshavardhan and Subhalekha Sudhakar play prominent roles.
On the technical front, Vidya Sagar Chinta handles cinematography, Viplav Nyshadam takes care of editing, and Chandrika Gorrepati oversees the production design. The story is written by Surya Prakash Jyosula.
With this fun promotional rap song, Gaayapadda Simham has further piqued curiosity about its quirky narrative of an Indian dreamer navigating the unpredictable realities of life in the US. The film is slated for a theatrical release in Summer 2026.
