‘Naari Naari Naduma Murari’ Success Brings Immense Joy- Sharwa

‘Naari Naari Naduma Murari’ Success Brings Immense Joy; Theatre Count Is Increasing Daily and the Film Will Have a Strong Long Run: Charming Star Sharwa

Charming Star Sharwa’s Sankranthi blockbuster Naari Naari Naduma Murari has emerged as a festive winner. Directed by Ram Abbaraju and produced by Anil Sunkara and Ramabrahmam Sunkara under AK Entertainments, in association with Adventures International Pvt. Ltd., the film stars Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya as the female leads. Released on January 14, the film has turned into a blockbuster and is running successfully with packed houses, claiming the title of a Sankranthi winner.

On this occasion, Sharwa interacted with the media and shared his happiness and insights about the film’s success.

Congratulations on scoring a Sankranthi blockbuster, Sharwa. How does it feel?

Thank you. I’m extremely happy. We work hard with the hope that every film becomes a hit. When the result comes exactly as we wished for, it gives immense satisfaction and joy.

Do you sometimes feel confident about a film right from the story stage?

We choose films only when we like the story. But for a film to truly work, everything has to come together perfectly. When the producer, director, and hero are aligned, budgets stay under control and quality improves. Good films can be made even within budgets. If every team genuinely strives to make a good film, the outcome will reflect that effort.

Will Sankranthi now become a fixed season for Sharwa films?

That would be great. At least until next year, things are confirmed that way.

The response has been terrific. Why did the film arrive towards the end of the Sankranthi race?

Already four films had locked the festival dates. But this Sankranthi had multiple long weekends, and again from the 23rd to the 26th there was another big holiday stretch. We strongly believed in our content and trusted that audiences would embrace it during the festive season. That belief has now turned into reality.

The number of theatres is increasing day by day, and the film will enjoy a very healthy long run.

You’ve been confident about the film from day one, right?

Absolutely. I always said that no matter when the film released, it would be a blockbuster. I had complete faith in it from the beginning.

You look much younger and fitter in this film. Did your biker-film preparation help?

During Jaanu, I met with a serious accident, after which I gained weight. In films like Sreekaram and Aadavallu Meeku Joharlu, I felt I looked a bit overweight, and honestly, I didn’t like that version of myself. I decided to change—for myself.
I started with walking, then running, strength training, and eventually yoga. All of this resulted in a complete transformation.

In Biker, I play two different roles, one of them being a father character—similar to how Suriya garu appeared in Surya S/o Krishnan. I worked very hard for that role, and this transformation helped immensely. Ideally, Biker should have released earlier, but due to technical reasons, it got delayed.

Your chemistry with Naresh garu has worked brilliantly again.

I’ve done four films with Naresh garu. He’s a fantastic actor and, in a way, another hero of this film. Satya Sudarshan, Vennela Kishore, Sampath—every character came out wonderfully. The comedy worked beautifully because it was situational.

Did you feel any pressure using Balakrishna garu’s iconic title and launching it with him?

When you take such a legendary title, you have the responsibility to live up to it. I spoke to Balakrishna garu yesterday, and he congratulated me warmly. He told me, “You upheld my prestige, Sharwa.” That meant a lot to me.

It’s been a while since you did a full-fledged comedy film, right?

I don’t want to restrict myself to just one genre. I constantly look for fresh stories and new experiences. Films like Amma Cheppindi, Andari Bandhuvaya, and Shatamanam Bhavati brought me close to family audiences. I consider their love and acceptance a blessing.

Your journey with producer Anil Sunkara?

He’s like an elder brother to me. We supported each other throughout the journey. He gave me a lot of strength and confidence.

How was it doing such clean comedy?

Ram Abbaraju felt like a god to me (laughs). Honestly, the industry needs directors like him. He has immense clarity in his vision.

What can we expect from your film with Srinu Vaitla?

It will be an out-and-out comedy entertainer. I always wanted to do a comedy film with him, and we’ve locked a fantastic story.

Whose idea was Sri Vishnu’s cameo?

It was director Ram Abbaraju’s idea. Ram and Sri Vishnu had earlier worked together on Samajavaragamana and will collaborate again. Though the role was small, Sri Vishnu accepted it with a big heart. I sincerely thank him—it truly shows his greatness.

About Samyuktha and Sakshi Vaidya?

Both delivered beautiful performances. Samyuktha trusted her character completely, and Sakshi worked extremely hard, learning Telugu dialogues and delivering them perfectly. This success has given all of us tremendous encouragement.

Your thoughts on the music?

I previously worked with Vishal on Padi Padi Leche Manasu, which had a wonderful album. Once again, he delivered excellent music. Just like Sreekaram and Shatamanam Bhavati, this film also has festive songs that audiences are enjoying immensely during the Sankranthi season.

How will Biker be?

It will be a film that makes the entire country proud. A film where we can proudly say it’s a Telugu cinema.

Chiranjeevi garu recently called you “a child of our family.” How did that feel?

That speaks volumes about Chiranjeevi garu’s greatness and generosity.

What are your current projects?

Biker has completed shooting. I’m currently shooting for Bhogi with Sampath Nandi garu. Bhogi also has a very strong and exciting story.
