Eesha Emerges as Christmas Blockbuster; Audience Makes It a People’s Hit
Producers Bunny Vas and Vamshi Nandipati, who earlier delivered blockbuster hits like Little Hearts and Raju Weds Rambayi, have now scored yet another major success with the horror thriller Eesha. Presented under the banners of Nandipati Entertainments and Bunny Vas Works, the film was released during the Christmas season and has emerged as a clear holiday winner at the box office.
Eesha features Akhil Raj and Trigun in the lead roles, with Hebbah Patel playing the female lead. The supporting cast includes Siri Hanmanthu, Babloo, and Prithviraj in key roles. Directed by Srinivas Manne, the film is produced by Hem Venkateswara Rao under HVR Productions and presented by senior producer K.L. Damodar Prasad.
With the film continuing its strong box office run, the team hosted a grand Blockbuster Meet to celebrate the success.
Speaking at the event, producer Bunny Vas said,
“Box office collections are the true benchmark of a film’s success. On its first day, Eesha grossed ₹2.2 crore across the two Telugu states, which is a remarkable record for a small-budget film. Despite being made on a very modest budget, the film’s collections did not drop on the second day. With the festive holiday season ahead, Eesha is expected to maintain strong momentum. Any doubts about the film will be erased by looking at the box office numbers. It has clearly emerged as a blockbuster, and it is encouraging to see audiences turning up in large numbers to support the film.”
Producer Hem Venkateswara Rao expressed his happiness over the response, stating,
“It is extremely satisfying to see the film reach this level of success. Every artist and technician worked with great commitment, and this victory belongs to all of them. Bunny Vas, Vamshi Nandipati, and K.L. Damodar Prasad played a crucial role in making this success possible.”
Actor Trigun shared his excitement, saying,
“This weekend has been very special for Telugu cinema and for Eesha. None of my recent films have witnessed collections like this. Director Srinivas, who gave me my first break, has once again given me a memorable success. Strong word-of-mouth has helped the film grow day by day, and I hope producers Bunny Vas and Vamshi Nandipati continue encouraging small and content-driven films.”
Producer Vamshi Nandipati emphasized the audience’s role in the film’s triumph, stating,
“The real chief guests for this celebration are the audience. They came to theatres and made Eesha a success, and I am forever grateful to them. This is not just a horror film—its climax makes viewers think deeply. Eesha is truly a people’s blockbuster, and the entire credit goes to the audience.”
Senior producer K.L. Damodar Prasad concluded by highlighting the extraordinary craze surrounding the film, saying,
“People are reselling tickets for Eesha at higher prices, something I haven’t heard of in many years. This clearly proves that when content connects with audiences, success is inevitable. Eesha once again establishes that content is king.”
