Roshan Stuns with Energetic Jazz Moves in ‘I Am A Champion’
The songs released so far from Champion have turned into sensational chartbusters. While the rooted folk number “Gira Gira” continues to trend across digital platforms, the soulful second single “Sallangundaale” struck an emotional chord with audiences. Taking the musical journey a notch higher, the makers have now unveiled the film’s third song, “I Am A Champion,” featuring Roshan and Anaswara Rajan.
Produced by Swapna Cinema in association with Anandi Art Creations and Concept Films, and presented by Zee Studios, Champion boasts music composed by the ever-reliable Mickey J Meyer.
“I Am A Champion” is a vibrant, full-fledged jazz dance number that blends grandeur with infectious rhythm. Mounted on an opulent set with warm lighting and ensemble-rich staging, the song unfolds as a visual spectacle. The peppy composition instantly hooks listeners with its pulsating beats, while the energetic interludes significantly enhance the scale and celebratory vibe of the track. KK’s theme-driven lyrics emphasize living life to the fullest, and the spirited vocals of P Jayaram and Ramya Behara inject the song with youthful energy and exuberance.
Roshan completely steals the show with his fluid body language and classy jazz movements, setting the dance floor on fire. His performance is marked by sharp precision, graceful transitions, and impressive rhythm control. Effortlessly shifting between expressive solo steps and grand group formations, Roshan carries the song with remarkable confidence. His expressions add an extra layer of charm, making the performance thoroughly engaging. Avanthika matches his energy beat for beat, and their sizzling on-screen chemistry adds to the song’s visual appeal. Pony Varma’s choreography emerges as a standout element, with the stylish hook step elevating the overall presentation.
Already being hailed as the jazz song of the season, “I Am A Champion” is expected to dominate music charts, following the success of the film’s earlier tracks. More importantly, the song firmly establishes Roshan’s dancing prowess and screen presence.
Champion also features Nandamuri Kalyan Chakravarthy and Archana in prominent roles. The film is backed by a strong technical crew, with legendary art director Thota Tharani handling production design, R. Madhie in charge of cinematography, and veteran editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao overseeing editing.
Slated for a grand theatrical release on December 25, Champion is gearing up to be a major Christmas attraction at the box office.
