“Families & Kids Must Watch Mirai” – TG Vishwa Prasad

“Families & Kids Must Watch Mirai” – Producer TG Vishwa Prasad

Superhero Teja Sajja’s most-awaited pan-India fantasy spectacle ‘Mirai’ is all set for a grand release on September 12. Directed by Karthik Ghattamaneni, the film also features Rocking Star Manoj Manchu in a powerful role. Backed by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad under the prestigious People Media Factory banner, Mirai has already generated massive buzz with its glimpses, teaser, and trailer.

On this occasion, producer TG Vishwa Prasad interacted with the media and shared insights about the film.

On Professional Satisfaction with Mirai

“I entered the industry in 2017, and from 2018 onwards, we’ve had consistent successes. Though 2024 was a bit disappointing, I am fully confident that Mirai will mark our strong comeback.

This project was not about market calculations—it was about delivering an extraordinary film. When we started Mirai, Teja’s Hanuman hadn’t even been released yet. We simply believed in the product. The film has nearly ten grand-scale episodes with a gripping story, soulful music, stunning locations, and next-level graphics.”

Why This Story?

“As a child, I loved Chandamama stories and Amar Chitra Kathas, which were always connected to our great epics—Ramayana and Mahabharata. Mirai is also a magical blend of history and fiction.

When Karthik narrated the story, I was spellbound. The concept revolves around Emperor Ashoka, who preserved all knowledge in nine books—entrusting eight warriors with their protection and one to an ashram. The mystery, importance of these books, and the hero-villain conflict around them form the crux of the film.

Teja worked incredibly hard, even undergoing special action training in Thailand. Manoj Manchu plays a powerful role, while several senior and experienced actors have added great value. At its core, Mirai is about a mother’s strong determination, beautifully depicted on screen.”

On Director Karthik Ghattamaneni

“Karthik is a brilliant cinematographer who knows exactly what needs to be shot live, what belongs to sets, and what should go into graphics. His clarity has elevated the film to another level. The locations and VFX work will offer audiences a completely fresh experience.”

On the Fantasy Genre and Connectivity

“In fantasy films, believability is crucial. Every element and every character in Mirai serves a clear purpose. Their introduction feels natural, and each sequence is connected with extraordinary detailing. Karthik has told this fantasy story with deep emotional connections.”

On Collaborations & Release Strategy

“Karan Johar watched the content and was impressed. His decision to release the film in the North gives us immense happiness.

We are collaborating with Shlok Entertainments in the US, Hombale Films in Karnataka, Gokulam Films in Kerala, and AGS in Tamil Nadu. In the Telugu states, prime distributors are bringing it out in a grand way.

The response from all regions to Mirai’s content has been overwhelmingly positive even before release.”

On In-House VFX Advantage

“Since the VFX was done in-house, we had complete creative control. Outsourcing often leads to compromises, but with in-house work, we could achieve exactly what we envisioned.”

On Ticket Prices & Audience Experience

“This is a large-scale film, and one might assume it’s a ₹300 crore project while watching it. But we didn’t raise the ticket prices. Our goal is to ensure maximum reach, especially for families and children to watch together. The focus is not on high pricing but on how many people experience the film.”

On Challenges During Production

“One of the toughest sequences involved a massive bird named Sampati. We needed a huge set, so we shot on Ramoji Film City’s second-largest floor—30,000 sq. ft. The bird was brought to life using advanced animatronics technology. I believe no Indian film has ever attempted such a human-animal interaction at this level.”

On Lord Rama’s Presence in the Trailer

“Every element in Mirai has meaning. The appearance of Lord Sri Rama has strong significance, and audiences will have a profound experience watching it on the big screen.”

On Future Projects from People Media Factory

“Our upcoming line-up is massive:

  • Raja Saab – releasing January 9, with trailer attached to Kantara 2 and first single timed for Prabhas’ birthday.

  • Telusu Kada – releasing next month.

  • Mowgli, a thriller with Lavanya Tripathi, and another film with Sunil.

  • Goodachari 2, Garividi Lakshmi, and multiple Kannada films.

In total, nearly 12 films will be released between 2026–2027 under our banner.”
